collect, from the four extremities of the earth. "And the jealousy of Ephraim fhall ceafe; and the enmity of Judah fhall be no more:" &c. Agreeable to what the Prophet Ezekiel fays*, when speaking of the union of the two kingdoms of Ifrael and Judah, under the Meffiah, at the future redemption; (as will be fhewn at large in the explanation of that prophecy) all which shews that, it is impoffible to understand it in any other sense, but as denoting the future reftoration of the nation, in like manner as they were redeemed from Egypt.

The fixth principle is, that God hath appointed a certain and determinate time, for the Redemption of his people; and which, on its arrival, will not by any means, be prevented from taking place; no, not though there should be a great number of finners and tranfgreffors among them: for the finners will be cut off; they will be numbered to the fword, and the flaughter: and the righteous, will be brought to the holy land, and enjoy every good as fhewn in the fourth, fixth, eleventh, twelfth, and thirteenth

teenth prophecies; and which hath never yet been fulfilled.

The seventh principle is, that the future Redemption is not to take place till after a great length of time; for they are not to be visited, till after many days; so that they will almost despair of ever being redeemed: as fhewn at large, in the explanation of the fourth, seventh, and ninth prophecies.

The eighth principle is, that at their future Redemption, the Shechinah, or visible fymbol of the Divine presence, will be again reftored to them, as it was in the tabernacle, and the first temple: the fpirit of Prophecy, will likewife be reftored to them: and the whole earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD; as fhewn in the fecond, third, ninth, and eleventh prophecies: but none of thefe events took place at their return from Babylon; nor yet in the time of Jefus; whence it is manifeft, that they remain to be fulfilled.

The ninth principle is, that at the future Redemption, those that have apoftatized during this long and dreadful captivity, either through fear, on account of the fearful perfecutions raised against them; or for any o

ther caufe: or who had their children taken from them*; and were thus mingled among the nations; will all be restored to the nation: as fhewn in the explanation of the feventh and eleventh prophecies. And the fame fays Moses; as fhewn at large, in his first prophecy and it would be only wasting of time, to fhew that this principle was not fulfilled at their return from Babylon.

The tenth principle is, that at the future redemption, a king of the lineage of David, and called by his name, will reign over the whole nation as fhewn in the explanation of the fecond, and feventh prophecies: but nothing of this took place during the continuance of the second temple: for then, there was no king of the house of David: but only of the Afmoneans, and the Herodians; whence it is demonftrable, that this principle was not then fulfilled.

The eleventh principle is, that after the future Redemption, of which the several Prophets have prophecied; they never will go into captivity more; neither they, nor their pofterity for ever; because, God will circum

cife

cife their heart; fo that they will no more return to fin and folly but will for ever continue righteous; they therefore, will for ever inherit the land: as fhewn in the fourth, ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth, and thirteenth prophecies. But this, it is clear from all history, was never fulfilled at their return from Babylon for it is well known, that during the time of the fecond temple, they were exceedingly wicked; committing the moft enormous crimes of robbery, murder, &c. to which may be added, the falfe, and heretical opinions, that then prevailed among them; and which, was the cause of the total ruin of their common wealth; and of their being carried into this long and dreadful captivity; where they have not to this hour, expiated their numerous crimes: and it is needless to fhew that, it hath not been accomplished at any other time.

The twelfth principle is, that after the future Redemption, the great majority of the nations that will then be left, will acknowledge the Unity of God; will ferve and worship him; and earnestly defire, to be inftructed in his Law: as fhewn at large, in the first, third, feventh, and eleventh prophecies;

phecies; but no fuch thing, hath ever yet come to pafs; not at their return from the Babylonish captivity; nor yet, at the ap pearance of Jefus; whence, it is manifeft, that it remains to be fulfilled at the future restoration of the nation, by the true Meffiah.

The thirteenth principle is, that then peace will reign in all the earth; and that fo completely, as to induce them to destroy the very weapons of war: as fhewn at large in the explanation of the first, second, and thirteenth prophecies. But as no fuch univerfal peace, has ever yet been enjoyed by the world; but on the contrary, the sword hath fcarcely been sheathed fince the delivery of this prophecy; as I have fewn at large in the explanation of the fecond prophecy. Whence it is demonftrable, that this promife remains to be fulfilled at the coming of the true Meffiah,

The fourteenth principle is, that about the time of the future redemption, the resurrection of the dead will take place; as shewn in the fourth, fifth, and fourteenth prophecies more especially in the fifth; where I have pointed out, not only the form and
