1876. In the preparation of this memoir, regard was had for the desires and wishes of the students who were pupils of Dr. Sparrow. It is also hoped that this memoir may be productive of instruction and benefit to others outside this group. It only needed contact to make manifest of Dr. Sparrow's intellectual greatness. His moral greatness, his simplicity, his integrity, his unfeigned and earnest piety, his devotion to the will of God, and to the real welfare of his fellow men, have their higher value in the way of influence, and can scarcely fail to be recognized.
