44 | Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto trea 'sure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

૪૪ વલી આકાશનું રાજ ખેતરમાં શૈતાડેલા ધનના શરખું છે

જહુને કોઇ માંણુશ ોઈને છાનું રાખેણે નઅર્ધું ને પોતાનાં જેટલાં છે તે બધાં વચાથી લઈ

તેહેની ખુશીને લીધે વેચીનાઁખીને તે ખેતર

45 | Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls:

૪૫ વલી કાઇ વેપારી જે શારાં ખાતીને શોધેછે તેહના શરખું આકાશનું રાજ છે

46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.

૪૬ જેડ઼ેને ઘણા મુલના એક નોતીની શોધ લાગા પર તેણે જઈને પોતાનાં જેટલાં હતાં તે શઘાં વેચીનાંખાં ને તે વેચા શ્રી લીધું

47 | Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: ૪૭ ૧લી આકાશનું રાજ જાલના જેહેવું છે જેણે દીઓમાં નંખા ઈને હરક તરેહના [જીવો]ને શુંભેટી લીધા

48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.

૪૮ ને તે ભરાઇ ગઓ પર [લોકો] તેહુને કીનારે ખેંચી લાએ વા ને બેશીને વાશણામાં શારા એકઠા શ્રીધા ને નઠારા ફેકી દીધા 49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

૪૯ એંભજ જગતને અંતે થશે [એટલે] દુતા બાહાર આવીને શાચાનાંથી ભુડાને જુદા કરશે

50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

૫૦ ને તેઓને અગનીકુંડનાં ફૂંકીદેશ તાંહાં રડવું ને દાંત પીશ વું થશે

51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.

૫૧ ઇશ્યુ તેઓને કહેછે કે શું તને એ બધી વાતા શમન તે આ તેહેને કહેછે હા પરભુ

52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.

પર તારે તેણે તેઓને કહું કે જે હરેક શાશતરી ગ્યાકાશના રાજ શબંધી શીખવેલાછે તે એક ઘરબારીના શરખો છે જે પોતાના ભંડારમાંથી નવાં તથા જીંનાં વાંનાં કÇાડેછે એમાટે [તેણેના શર ખા તને થાઓ]

53 | And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence.

૫૩ ને અઁન થીં કે ઇશ્યુ એ દરશટાનો કીરહો તાહારૂં તાંહાં થી ચાલાગ

54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works!

૫૪ ને પોતાના દેશમાં આઍવા પર તેણે તેમાની શભામાં તેને વો ઊપદેશ કીધો કે તેઓ અચરત પાઁનીને બોલા કે હું ને આ ગનાન તથા નવતરૂં શાનરથ કાઁથી [ભલું]

55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary! and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas !

૧૫ શું એ ક્ષુથારના દીકરા નથી હેની ના ફું ભીષ્મન નથી કહેવાતી ને હેના ભાઈ ઈબ તથા ઈશી તથા શીઞાન તથા ઇહુદા [નથી]

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

પ૬ ને હુંની શઘલી બેહેનો શું આપણી પાશ નથી પૃથ્વી એ બધું હુંને કાઁાઁથી નહ્યું]

57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

૫૭ અન તેઓએ તે શસઁધી ઠોકર ખાધી પણ ઈશુએ તેને કહું કે ભવીશકેહનાર પોતાના દેશમાં તથા પોતાના ઘરમાઁ ન છતાં બેઞાબર નથી **

58 And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

૫૮ ને તેઓના અવીશવાશને લીધે તેણે તાંહાં ઘણા ચનતકાર નથી કીધા

CHAP. XIV. ચઊદનો અધી

1 At that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus,

૧ તેલા હેરોદ ચોથીઆએ ઈશુની કીરતી શાંભલી

2 And said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.

૨ ને પોતાના ચાકરીને કહું કે ઇહોન જે ખાપતીશન કરનાર તે એજ છે તે નીગએલાઓમાંથી ઊઠાછું ને એમાટે તેથી ચન તકાર બનેછે

3 [ For Herod had laid hold on John, and bound him, and put him in prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.

૩ કેમકે હેરોદે પોતાના ભાઈ પ્રીક્ષપની વહુ હેરોદીને લીધે ઇહોનને પકડો હતો ને તેહેને બાંધીને કેટખાનામાં નાંખા હતો

4 For John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.

૪ કાંજે ઇહોને તહેને કહ્યું હતું કે તે તાહારી થાએ એ ઘટા

રથ નથી *

5 And when he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. ૫ ને તે તેણેને ભારીનાંખવા ચાહાતો હતો તાહારે લોકો શ્રી બીધો કનકે તેઓ તેહુને ભવીશકેહુંનાર ચરખો ગણુતા હુતા 6 But when Herod's birth-day was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod.

૬ પણ હેરોદની વશગાંઠનાં કૉંભ કરાતાં હુતાં તાહારે હેરો દીઆની દીકરીએ [તેની] આગલ નાચીને હેરોદને ખુશ કીધો 7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.

૭ એ પર જે કંઇ તે નાગશે તેતેહેને આપવાનું તેણે શન ઝુર્થાં કબુલ કીધું

8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger.

૮ તાહારે પેાતાની માએ અગાઊ શીખવા છતાં તે બોલી કે ઈહાન બાપતીશન કરનારનું ભાથું ીઔં એક વાશણાં મને આપ *

9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her.

૯ તે પર રાન દલગીર થ તોપણ શનને લીધે તથા તેહેના શાથી ખાવા બેસનારાઓને લીધે તેણે [તે] આપવાનો હુકન કીધો

10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison.

૧૦ ને તેણે કેદખાઁનામાં મોકલીને ઇહોનનું ભાથું કપાએવું 11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother.

૧૧ પછી તેહેનું ભાથું એક વાશણમાં લવાઊં ને તે છોકરીને અપાઉં ને તે પાતાની નાની પાશે લઈગઈ

12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and

buried it, and went and told Jesus.

૧૨ તાહારે તેણેના શીશોએ પાશે આવીને તેહેનું સુરનું ઊઠાવી ને દાઢું ને જઇને ઇશ્યુને ખબર કી

13 | When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.

૧૩ તાહાર ઇશ્યુ [એ] શાંભલીને તાંહાંથી હાડીએ ઊજડ ઠેકાણે એકલા આ પશુ લેાંકે [તે] શાંભલીને શહેરોમાંથી પગ રશતે તેહેની પાછલ ગ

14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he' healed their sick.

૧૪ પછી ઈશુએ નીકલીને ઘણા લોકોને દીઠા તાારે તેણે તેઓ પર દ કરીને તેમાંના ભાઁદાને શભા કીધા

15 [ And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

૧૫ ને શાઁહીંજ પડી તાહારે તેણેના શીશોએ તેહેની પાશે આવી ને કહું કે આ કાઁણું ઊજડ છે ને હવે વખત ગળું માટે લોકોને બીદાએ કર કે તે ગાઁનોમાં જઈને પોતાને શારૂ ખાવાનાં બે ચાથી લે

16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

૧૬ પણ ઇશ્યુએ એને કહું કે તેને જવાનું કારણ નથી તમે તેઓને ખાવાને આપા

17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
