After this we hear an Exhortation to take heed that we do not prefume to partake of the Lord's Table without being duly prepar'd. And then we prepare our felves by an humble confeffion of our fins, and earnest Repenting of them; and by a comfortable faith in the Promifes of mercy through Chrift to the truly penitent: That we may devoutly remember Chrift's Sealing with his Death the Promises and Commands of the New Teftament ; with a joyful Belief of thofe Promifes, and a thankful and ftedfaft Obedience to the Commands fo Sealed.
