Ar the meeting of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church, in May, 1830, the Committee on Psalmody, presented the following amended and improved book of Psalms and Hymns, which was approved by the Assembly; and its use, in the worship of God, authorised in all the churches under their care. 3 PSALMS. LEST is the man who shuns the place BLEST Where sinners love to meet; Who fears to tread their wicked ways, 2 But in the statutes of the Lord 3 He, like a plant of generous kind Safe from the storms and blasting wind, 4 Green as the leaf, and ever fair 5 Not so the impious and unjust; 6 Sinners in judgment shall not stand grace, When Christ the Judge, at his right hand, Appoints his saints a place. 7 His eye beholds the path they tread, But crooked ways of sinners lead PSALM 1.
