the Twenty-ninth Year of the Reign of Her present Majesty, Chapter One, intituled "An Act to empower the Lord Lieutenant or other Chief "Governor or Governors of Ireland "to apprehend, and detain for a "limited Time, such Persons as he or they shall suspect of conspiring "against Her Majesty's Person and "Government."

And whereas the treasonable Conspiracy in the first-recited Act mentioned still exists, and it is therefore expedient to continue the said Powers and Provisions for a further limited Period:

Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority of the same, as follows:

1. The first-recited Act, and the several Powers and Provisions therein contained, shall continue in force until the First Day of June One thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven, and the said Act shall be read and construed as if the Words "the First Day of June One thousand eight "hundred and sixty-seven" were throughout the said Act substituted for the Words the "First of September One thousand eight hun"dred and sixty-six."

2. All Prisoners at present in Confinement under the Warrant of the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland by virtue of the Powers of the first-recited Act, or who shall be hereafter arrested and committed to Prison in pursuance of same or of this Act, shall while in such Confinement be treated as untried Prisoners.
