What would you like to have the angels do with you when you die?

If you go to heaven, what company will you have there? He. 12: 22-24.

How would you like to go and live in the city of the living God?

What description has John given of the heavenly Jerusa lem? Re. 21: 10-27.

How would you like the company of angels?

How would you like to sit and talk with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?

How would you like the society of the general assembly and church of the first-born, which are written in heaven?

How would you like to be where you could see Jesus continually?

What was done with the beggar's body, when he died? When his soul was in Abraham's bosom, would he be troubled about the condition of his body?

Will there be any difficulty in finding his dust, when Jesus comes to raise the dead?

What was done with the rich man's body, after he died? What sort of a funeral do you suppose they made for him?

Where was he then? v. 23.

What do you suppose he thought of the great funeral that was made for him, when he was in torment? What did the rich man do, in hell?

What company had he there? Mat. 25: 41, 1. c. 1 Co. 6: 9, 10. Re. 21: 8.

How do you suppose a person would feel, to be in the company of the devil and his angels?

How would you like the company of idolaters, thieves, liars, drunkards, and murderers?

Will you have to be with such people, if you go to that dreadful place?

How do you suppose the rich man felt, when he looked up and saw the poor man that he had despised, in tha company of angels and holy men?

How may you be saved from these awful torments? Ac. 16: 31.

LESSON XXXV.

God delights not in punishing sinners.
EZE. XXXIII. 10, 11.

10 Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Israel; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live?

11 Say unto them, As I live, saith

the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will yo die, O house of Israel ?

To whom did God tell the prophet Ezekiel to speak?

How did the children of Israel speak?

How do sinners now feel to think that their sirs must b upon them?

How do they feel towards God, when they know he wil punish sinners?

What wicked man felt as they do? Ge. 4: 13.

Whose example do sinners imitate, when they excuse themselves for living in sin? Gc. 3: 12, 13.

How did God begin his answer to the excuses of the children of Israel? v. 11.

Does God delight in punishing sinners?

What would he rather have them do?

How has the Lord expressed his desire that we should keep his commandments and live? De. 5: 29.

How does he lament over the folly of sinners? De. 32: 29.

If we had hearkened to his commandments, and obeyed them, what should we have had? Is. 48: 18.

What has God done, to show that he does not love to punish sinners? Jn. 3: 16.

Should you think sinners would need to be entreated not to die?

What shall we then think of sinners, who are determined that their souls shall die?

How ought you tɔ feel towards him, for such love?

LESSON XXXVI.

Jesus loves to have little children come to him.

MAR. X. 13-16.

13 And they brought young chil- | dren to him, that he should touch them; and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.

14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of

God.

15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.

16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

WHOM did they bring to Jesus?

For what did they bring the young children to him? ow did his disciples treat them that brought them? How did Jesus feel, when he saw that his disciples would not let the little children come to him?

How do you suppose he feels now, when people d courage little children from coming to him, because they are so young?

How do some parents bring their children to Christ now?

What good will it do you to be baptized, if you do not come to Christ yourself? Ga. 6: 15.

What did Jesus tell them to do?

Is he willing that little children should come to him now?

What promise has he made to those that seek him early? Pr. 8: 17.

Can you think of any promise in the Bible more precious than this?

Why do little children need to repent, and come to Jesus! Ps. 58: 3. Ro. 3: 23.

Will it ever be any easier for you to repent than it is now?

Will it be any easier for you to break off from your sins, after you have grown up in sinful habits?

Will you love sin any less then than you do now?
Will you have any more time to think about religion,
when you come to engage in business for yourself?
Will it be any more convenient for you then to attend to
the concerns of your soul, than it is now?

How long are you sure that you will live? Ja. 4: 14.
If you grow up, and still harden yourself in sin, wha
reason have you to expect that you will ever repen*
Pr. 29: 1.

What hope have those that do not come to Christ now?
He. 3: 7, 8, 11.

What did Jesus do to the little children that came to him? v. 16.

What does Jesus call himself? Jn. 10: 11.

What does he call his people? Jn. 10: 27.

If his people are called his sheep, what should the little children that love him be called? Jn. 21: 15, l. c. What did Isaiah say Jesus should do with, the lambs of his flock? Is. 40: 11, m. c.

Was Jesus ever a little child?

Does he know how little children feel?

Will he feel for you, when you are in trouble? He. 4: 15 How ought you to feel towards such a kind friend? When you are in trouble for your sins, if you go to him, what will he give you? Mat. 11: 28.
