Philad, 1816 Al Bey has been long known to men of science in various parts of Europe. Travelling as a mussulman and prince, he has been enabled to give, anong much curious matter, some new and interesting relations, which no christian has ever had the opportunity of doing. He had the privilege of visiting the temple of Mecca, and of washing and perfuming the Caaba, the rost sacred office of the Mahometan religion.
