DICTIONARY

OF

MEDICAL SCIENCES,

NOW PUBLISHING IN PARI3,

To consist of about 30 volumes, 8vo. of 6 or 700 pages of close letter press, each with plates.-The 20th volume was published in July last.

This work is the production of a Society of Physicians and Surgeons, whose names are affixed, among whom are the most eminent Professors and Masters of the European, and principally of the French School. It is considered, at the present state of medical science, as a complete Medical Encyclopxdia. It is computed that it will form about 30 volumes, 8vo.

M. Carey and Son have made with the publisher a contract, by which they will be able to supply those gentlemen who become subscribers, with the 20 volumes now published, and every succeeding volume. The price of the work is not more than one-third of what it would be if published in England or America. It is believed that its being written in French will be an ob jection with but few of our medical gentlemen, most of them reading tha language familiarly.

The 20 volumes now published will be delivered at 50 dollars, and the suc ceeding ones as published, at $2 50 cents per volume. M. Carey and Son expect to receive them by one of the first spring vessels from France.
