HYMN 30.

"The will of the Lord be done." ACTS xxi. 14.

1. O THOU! who hast at thy command
The hearts of all men in thy hand!
Our wayward, erring hearts incline
To have no other will but thine.

2. Our wishes, our desires, controul, Mould every purpose of the soul; O'er all may we victorious be

That stands between ourselves and Thee.

3. Twice blest will all our blessings be,
When we can look through them to Thee;
When each glad heart its tribute pays
Of love, and gratitude, and praise.

4. And while we to thy glory live,
May we to Thee all glory give,
Until the joyful summons come
That calls thy willing servants home.

HYMN 31.

From Psalm cl.

1. PRAISE the Lord, ye heav'ns, adore Him,
Praise Him, angels, in the height,
Sun and moon, rejoice before Him,
Praise Him, all ye stars and light;
Praise the Lord for He hath spoken;
Worlds his mighty voice obey'd;

Laws that never shall be broken,
For their guidance He has made.

2. Praise the Lord, for He is glorious;
Never shall his promise fail,

God has made his saints victorious,
Sin and death shall not prevail :
Praise the God of our salvation;
Hosts on high, his power proclaim
Heaven and earth, and all creation,

Laud and magnify his name.

HYMN 32.

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee." Is. xxvi. 3.

1. SAVIOUR, crucified for me,
Let me stay myself on Thee,
Let the water and the blood,
From thy pierced side which flow'd,
Be of sin the double cure,

Cleanse me from its guilt and pow'r.

2. Should my tears for ever flow,
Should my zeal no languor know,
This for sin could not atone;
Thou must save, and Thou alone:
In my hand no price I bring,
Simply to thy cross I cling.

3. While I draw this fleeting breath,
When mine eyelids close in death,
When I soar to worlds unknown,
See Thee on thy judgment throne,
Let me stay myself on Thee,

Saviour, crucified for me.

HYMN 33.

"Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood." REV. i. 5.

1. Son of God! to Thee we bow:
Thou art Lord, and only Thou :
Thou the blessed Virgin's seed,
Glory of thy church, and Head.

2. Thee the angels ever sing,

Thee we praise, our Priest and King ;
Worthy is thy name of praise,
Full of glory, full of grace.

3. Thou hast the glad tidings brought
Of salvation, by Thee wrought;
Wrought to set thy people free,
Wrought to bring our souls to Thee.

4. May we follow and adore

Thee, our Saviour, more and more;
Guide and bless us with thy love,
Till we join thy saints above.

HYMN 34.

From Psalm xcii.

1. SWEET is the work, my God, my King,
To praise thy name, give thanks, and sing;
To shew thy love by morning light,
And talk of all thy truth at night.

2. Sweet is the day of sacred rest;
No earthly cares shall seize my breast,
Oh ! may my heart in tune be found,
Like David's harp of solemn sound!

3. My heart shall triumph in the Lord,
And bless his works, and bless his word:
Thy works of grace, how bright they shine!
How deep thy counsels! how divine!

4. Soon may I see, and hear, and know, All I desire or wish below;

And ev'ry pow'r find sweet employ,

In that eternal world of joy.

(New Sabbath.)
