Luke xxi.35. For as a Snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the Face of the Earth.

Luke xxi. 36. Watch ye therefore and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy, to efcape all thefe Things that fhall come to pafs, and to stand before the Son of Man. See Matt. 24. 42. 44, to 51. Mark 13. 33. to 37.

1 Cor. i. 8. The Lord Jefus Chrift fhall confirm you unto the End, that ye may be blameless in the Day of the Lord Jefus Christ. See Chrift fhall judge.

Ver. 13. Rejoice, in as much as ye are Partakers of Chrift's Sufferings, that when his Glory fhall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding Joy.

2 Pet. iii. 11. Seeing then that all these Things fhall be diffolved, what Manner of Perfons ought ye to be in all holy Converfation and Godlinefs.

Ver. 12. Looking for and hafting to the Coming of the Day of God, when the Heavens being on Fire fhall be diffolved, and the Elements shall melt with fervent Heat. Ver. 13. 14.

1 John ii. 8. Little Children, abide in Chrift, that when he fhall appear ye may have Confidence, and not be ashamed at his Coming.

iv. 17. Herein is our Love made perfect, that we may have Boldness in the Day of Judgment.

Rev. xiv. 7. Fear God and give Glory to him, for the Hour of his Judgment is come, and worship him that made Heaven and Earth and the Fountains of Waters.

6. The Diffolution of the Heavens and the Earth. Pf. cii. 25. The Heavens are the Work of thine Hands.

Ver. 26. They fhall perish but thou fhalt endure, yea all of them shall f wax old like a Garment, and as a Vesture fhalt thou, (Chrift, Heb. 1. 10, 11, 12.) change them and they fhall be changed.

2 Pet. iii 7. The Heavens and the Earth which are now are kept in Store, referved unto Fire, against the Day of Judgment and Perdition of ungodly Men:

Ver. 10. The Heavens fhall pass away with a great Noise, and the Elements fhall melt with fervent Heat, the Earth alfo and the Works that are therein fhall be burnt up. Ver. 12.

Ver. 13. Nevertheless we according to his Promife look for new Heavens and a new Earth, wherein dwelleth Righteousness. See Rev. 6. 14. Ifa. 34. 24—51. 6—65; 17.—66. 22.

The Happiness of the Righteous.

7. The Happiness of the Righteous in Heaven, is inconceiveably great. 1 Cor ii. 9. Eye hath not feen nor Ear heard, neither have entered into the Heart of Man the Things which God hath prepared for them that love him. Ifa. 64. 4.

1 John i 2. Beloved, now are we the Sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be, but we know that when he shall appear we fhall be like him, for we fhall fee him as he is. Rom, 8. 29. Phil. 3. 21.

8. Chriftians are Heirs. Rom. viii. 17.If Children then Heirs, Heirs of God, and joint Heirs of Chrift. Ch. 4 7.

Gal. iii. 27. Heirs according to the Promife. Eph. 3. 6.
Tit. ii. 17. Heirs according to the Hope of eternal Life.

Jude xxiv. He is able to prefent you faultlefs before the prefence of his Glory with exceeding Joy.

13. Free from Pain and Sorrow. Ifa. xxxiii. 24. The Inhabitant fhall not fay I am fick, the People that dwell there fhall be forgiven their Iniquity.

XXXV. 10. Sorrow and Sighing fhall fly away.

Ix. 19. The Sun fhall be no more thy Light by Day, neither shall the Moon give Light unto thee, but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting Light, and thy God thy Glory. Ver. 20.

Matt. vi. 20. Lay up for yourselves Treafures in Heaven, where neither Moth nor Ruft doth corrupt nor Thieves break through and steal.

Rev. vii. 15. They are before the Throne of God, and ferve him Day and Night in his Temple, and he that fitteth on the Throne fhall lead them.

Ver. 16. And they fhall hunger no more, neither thirst any more, neither shall the Sun light on them nor any Heat.

Ver. 17. For the Lamb which is in the Midft of the Throne fhall feed them, and fhall lead them unto living Fountains of Waters, and God fhall wipe away all Tears from their Eyes.

N. B. The above Texts from Ifaiah- though prophetical of the happy State of the Church on Earth, are moft ftrictly true and expreflive of the Happiness of glorified Saints in Heaven.

Rev. xxi. 4. God fhall wipe away all Tears from their Eyes, and there shall be no more Death, neither Sorrow nor Crying, neither shall there be any more Pain, for the former Things are paffed away.

xxii. 3. There shall be no more Curfe, but the Throne of God and of the Lamb fhall be in it, and his Servants fhall ferve him.

14. Eternal Life is from God Pf. xi. 6. Thou wilt fhew me the Path of Life. Acts 2. 28

xxxvi. 9. With thee is the Fountain of Life.

Ixiii 3. Thy Loving-kindness is better than Life.
