Death, they became bright and shining, being transformed into the image of him that redeemed them. And behold, they were surrounded by thousands and tens of thousands of glorified saints and angels, who placed crowns on their heads, and golden harps in their hands; with which they instantly joined the heavenly host in their triumphant songs. So the glorious multitude, accompanying their Almighty Lord, began to ascend through the region of the air towards the gates of heaven, which were opened wide to receive them. And as they ascended, they cried out, "Hallelujah! for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth!" And again they said, "Hallelujah to God and the Lamb!" Thus the glorious company of these blessed ones reached the regions of ethereal light, whither my eyes could follow them no more.
