Ver. 35. Caft not away your confidence, which hath great recompenfe of reward. 1 John ii. 24. Let that abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning fhall remain in you, ye shall also continue in the Son, and in the Father.
Ver. 28. And now, little children, abide in him, that when he fhall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
2 John ver. 8. Look to yourselves, that we lofe not the things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
Ver. 9. Whofoever tranfgreffeth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not GOD: He that abideth in the doctrine of Chrift, he hath both the Father and the Son.

STATE OF THE CHURCH.
1. Of the ENLARGEMENT of the CHURCH, and the SPREADING of the GOSPEL and KINGDOM of CHRIST through the World.
SAL. ii. 8. Ask of me, and I will give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy poffeffion.
Ver. 9. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's veffel.
P. xxii. 27. All the ends of the earth fhall remember, and turn unto the LORD; and all the kindreds of the nations, fhall worship before him.
Ver. 28. For the kingdom is the LORD's, and he is the governor among the nations.
PS. Ixvii. 2. That thy way may be known upon earth, thy faving health among all nations.
Ver. 7. God fhall bless us, and all the ends of the earth fhall fear him.
