It formerly belonged to Malone, (who believed that it was from the poet's own hand) and at the beginning there is an autograph letter from that gentleman to Mr. Gifford, lending him the MS. for inspection and transcription. A printed copy of the play is bound up with the MS., and at the end of the volume is (in MS.), " An attempt to supply (the introductory scenes excepted) the lost parts of Massinger's Play of The Parliament of Love. Respectfully presented to William Gifford, Esq. by F. G. Waldron July 8, 1805."
