thy praise and no pleasure but that of doing thy will.

The crowds that meet shall be the congregation of thy worshippers: the place of their assembly shall be thy everlasting habita

tion.

And their talk shall be of thy glory and their song shall celebrate thy mercy.

Worthy art Thou to receive honour and praise heaven and earth are full of thy glory.

LORD, sanctify to me this day make it a preparation for that great day of thy coming :

Set me stedfastly down to do thy will: that I may accept with joy thy sentence on that day.

Let every thing that is in me be thine: for Thou, even Thou, O LORD, hast made me, and redeemed me.

HYMNS FOR SUNDAY.

HYMN LXXXVII.

GLORY be to Thee, O Christ on this our holy day;

For Thou didst break the bands of death : and rise again from the tomb.

Thine enemies were gathered together: but they prevailed not against Thee;

For thy right hand and thine holy arm : wrought for Thee a glorious victory.

Our Captain is gone up before us our King hath taken to Him his power:

He that was dead is alive again: and behold He liveth for evermore.

What shall we render unto Him: for all his manifold mercies?

What offering shall we bring unto Him: in this his day of triumph?

He rejoiceth not in burnt-offerings: but He will have a living sacrifice;

:

Even the offering of a pure heart and the sacrifice of a holy life.

Let us then be holy harmless, undefiled, and separate from sinners;

Let us suffer with Him: take up our cross, and follow Him.

Glory be to Thee, O Christ: thou Prince of Life, our Saviour :

For Thou, with the Holy Ghost: art most high in the glory of God the Father.

HYMN LXXXVIII.

Come into the temple of the LORD: and praise the LORD our God;

For He is good and gracious and his mercy endureth for ever.

He hath made us from nothing and breathed into us the breath of life;

He hath upheld us ever since we were born: and his mercies are fresh every day.

But we have sinned against the LORD: and have turned away from our God;

We were born in sin : and were but children of wrath:

But he hath quickened us together with Christ and given us a good hope of glory hereafter;

He hath made a covenant with us even a covenant of mercy and blessing.

O come then into his temple : shout out his praise with gladness:

Tell of all his wondrous works: and confess Him before the sons of men.

HYMN LXXXIX.

Open the doors of the temple: that all people may enter therein.

Set open the gates of the sanctuary: that all may seek the LORD.

Come in to pray for his mercy: come in to praise his name.

Come in to worship with his people : come in and fall down before Him.

Come in to hear his word: and to wait for the promise of his Spirit.

:

Come in to draw water with joy from the wells of his salvation.

Ye that mourn, come hither: for the LORD your God will comfort you;

Ye that rejoice, come hither: for the LORD is waiting for your praises.

Come hither young and old : come hither rich and poor:

Come in before the LORD our Strength and our Redeemer.

HYMN XC.

O LORD, how glorious are thy temples: where thou callest thy people together!

For there thy presence waiteth to hear and answer their prayers.

There the voice of their praise soundeth : and they tell out thy mercies with gladness.

There the rich and poor meet together: they that bear rule, and they that labour with their hands.

For Thou, O LORD, hast made them all : yea, Thou hast redeemed them by thy love; They are all precious in thy sight : thou hast bought them with a price, even the blood of thy dear Son.
