REMARKS.

This Coin denominated Bhoolpuddee, or head of the Idol,
is of the same coinage with the stamp, a little different.
This Coin was struck by Hyder Ally about 50 or 60
years ago at Seringapatam.

The above six Coins are usually received into the Poona
Treasury from the districts of Rannee Biddanoor Koda
Bunkapoor, Savanoor Gudduck, Dummull Kanghulla,
Andoor Kanigull and Nowlagund, &c.

These Coins were struck by Esajee Ram, Mumleedar of
the Peishwa, about 60 years ago at Darivar and Nur-
goond, but the coinage has been discontinued for the
last 25 years.

These Coins have little or no currency in this Province,
but as they are circulated in the Camp Bazaar to a
small extent, they are inserted in the list.

This Coin was struck during the Government of Hyder, in the
Mint at Bangalore. It has no very general circulation, but
is occasionally received from individuals in payment of revenue.
These Coins have little currency in these Provinces. Their
exchange has now been fixed with reference to the rates of the
Bellary Treasury, and to their estimated value by the Shroffs.

In this new Coinage, the pound weight troy of standard silver is divided into 66s. (instead of 63) as before, making the relative proportion as above stated, viz., 1 of Gold to 14:281 of silver.

Coined at Chandore, and is the Standard Coin of Kandeish; passes equivalent with the Ankoosee Rs.: current also in the Northern Konkan.

Current in Kandeish.

S Coined at Nassuck; bears a discount of eight and twelve annas per cent.; current in the Northern Konkan and Kandeish. Coined at Bellapoore; current at Poona, Ahmeduuggur, the Konkan, &c., &c.

Coined at Bhatoore near Ahmednuggur; current in the Deccan ; is inferior to the Ankoosee one per cent.*

*These Rates of Exchange were established previous to the Assay which was made in the year 1819, and may have been since corrected.

Coined at Waubgaum; bears a discount with the Ankoosee Ru-
pees of eight annas per cent.*

Current in Candeish. Coined by Scindiah, and is, perhaps, the
same coin as assayed under the name of Berhanpoor Sicca.
Coined at Chammergoondee, and bears a discount with the estab-
lished Ankoosee of two per cent.*

Coined at Bagulcota ; current in the Doab, Malwan, &c.
Coined at Shapoor, and produces 102 Ankoosee per at Poona.*
This Coin was struck originally at Kittoor, this Mint has continued
the coinage during the last 25 years; it is current in the district
of Bittikerra, Belgaum and Padshapoor.

Coined at Ougien and Chullemaishhwar; passes in Poona at a
premium of two per cent. for Ankoosee Rupees:* current
throughout Malwa.

Coined at Indore; current throughout Malwa.

Coined at Aurungabad; is issued in payment to the Troops at 120 for 100 Company's Rupees.

Coined at Nagpore, and is inferior at Poona to the Ankoosee Rupee by four per cent.*

The only currency at Broach; current also at Surat, Kaira, &c., &c.

SA species of Hyderabad Rupee coined at Narrainpet, but little known
at Poona; rate uncertain, from 9 to 12 per cent. discount.
Ditto, coined at Timbourne by the late Sadaser Monkaiser; is infe-
rior to the proper Ankoosee Rupee.

Ditto, coined at Waye, and bears at discount in Poona of one per
cent.*

Coined at Jumkundee, and passes at a discount of 2 per cent.*
Coined by Scindiah in Kandeish.

A species of Ankoosee Rupee, coined at Phoolsherb, but inferior
to the regular Ankoosee by 8 annas per cent.*

Coined at Pertabghur, a species of Ankoosee Rupee, but 19 per cent.
inferior to it.*

The Emaumee coin was struck by the Sultan, but is not current in
this province, and is seldom received by the Shroffs or Sabookars.

This Coin was struck by Karweekur Maharaj at Panallee about 50
or 60 years ago, the Mint still continues, the coin has very little
currency in these districts.

This Coin was struck by Siddowjee Row Naik Nembalkur at
Nepanee about 15 years ago; it is current in the districts of
Padshapoor and that vicinity.

Current in the Southern Mahratta country.

This coin was struck by Malajee Row Modholkur about 30 years ago; it has a very limited circulation.
