First, N°

O Officer or Servant of this Corpora-Servants. tion fhall take any Gratuity, Fee, or Reward, for any thing relating to this Corporation, from any Perfons whatsoever, but fuch only as fhall be paid by this Corporation; and any Officer or Servant, offending therein, fhall be immediately discharged, and rendered incapable of ferving the Corporation hereafter.

Secondly, All Sums of Money which are re-Cash. ceived by the Treasurer, on account of this Corporation, fhall be paid into the Bank of England, when the fame fhall amount to more than two hundred Pounds; and all Monies to be paid on Account of this Corporation, fhall be paid to the Treasurer, out of impreft Sums to be made to him, by Order of the General Committee, by Draughts upon the Bank of England, figned by the Chairman, and two at least of the faid Committee. And whenever the Cash in the Bank fhall amount to the Sum of five hundred Pounds, beyond the current and usual Expence of this Corporation, the Treasurer fhall acquaint the General Committee therewith, that the fame may be dif posed of, but no Lands, or other real Estate (faving only Houfes to be converted into an

Hofpital, or Lands for the Scite thereof) fhall be purchafed without the Order of the General Court, nor fhall any Cafh belonging to this Corporation, be placed out on any Securities, other than Parliamentary Securities, unless by Direction of the General Court.

General Thirdly, The General Committee shall meet Commit- as often as they fhall fee convenient, by Adjournment, or on proper Notice. Any Seven or more of them fhall have Power to tranfact Bufinefs, and, in Cafe of an Equality of Votes, the Chairman fhall have a double or cafting Vote.

Fourthly, No Committee fhall contract for, or excluded purchafe any Thing whatsoever, for the Ufe of the Hofpital, in which any Governor or Guardian has any Property, Intereft, or Concern, Hofpital. Land or Houses only excepted. Nor fhall the General Court, or Committee, elect any Governor and Guardian of the Hofpital, to any Place or Office of this Corporation, to which any Salary fhall be annexed."

The Seal.

Fifthly, The Seal of this Corporation fhall be kept in a Box, with three different Locks and Keys, one of which fhall be in the Custody of the Prefident, another in the Cuftody of the Treafurer, and the third in the Cuftody of fuch Governor and Guardian, as the General Court, or General Committee, fhall appoint. And the Seal fhall not be affixed to any Writing or Inftrument whatfoever, but by Order of the General Court, or by Order of the General Committee, and the fame shall always be fo affixed in the Prefence of four of the faid Committee, two of whom with the Secretary fhall counterfign the fame; and, at the fame Time, an Entry fhall be made in the

Minute-Book, of fuch General Court or Committee, of the Purposes for which, and the Time when the Seal was affixed, which fhall likewise be figned by the faid four Gentlemen, which Book fhall be produced to the next General Committee, or, if required, to any General Meeting; and that, in cafe the Prefident, Treasurer, or other Governor or Guardian, in whofe Custody the Keys are, fhall not attend, they shall deliver the Key to fuch Governor and Guardian, as they think fit, provided fuch Governor and Guardian is not poffeffed of another Key; and that, if it fhould fo happen, that fuch Governor and Guardian is poffeffed of a Key before, he shall deliver the laft Key received to another Governor and Guardian who has none.

Courts.

Sixthly, When, and as often as the General ExtaorCommittee, by any Writing, to be figned by dinary their Secretary, or any feven or more of the Governors and Guardians, fhall apply to the Prefident for the Time being, for the Calling a General Meeting, fignifying in Writing, figned by them, the Reafon of fuch Meeting, the faid Prefident fhall, thereupon, call and appoint the fame to be held within the Space of ten Days then next after, by directing three Days Notice to be given (in the Gazette, and any other publick News-paper) thereof, and of the Cause of fuch Meeting,

Seventhly, The Majority of the Governors and Accounts. Guardians, who fhall be present at every General Meeting of this Corporation, which shall be held next after Christmas-Day, in every Year, fhall have Power, at fuch General Meeting, to appoint a Special Committee to examine, audit,

and adjust the Accounts of the Treasurer of this Corporation for the Time being, and of the Officers and Servants of the Hofpital, made up to the 31st of December; and, for that Purpose, to require fuch Treasurer, Officers, and Servants, to lay their Accounts, and Vouchers thereunto belonging, before fuch Committee, who is to report the fame, with their Opinion, to the quarterly Court held after Lady-Day yearly.
