Hen therefore ye Pray (and beg of God the Forgivenefs of your Sins), Forgive, if ye have ought against any; that your Father alfo which is in heaven may forgive you your Trefpales. Mark

Then came Peter to him

and

faid, Lord, how oft fhall my Brother fin against me, and I forgive him? till feven times? Jefus faith unto him, I fay not unto thee till feven times; but until feventy times feven. Matth. 18. 21, 22.

Put on therefore (as the Elect of God, holy and beloved,) bowels of Mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-fuffering.

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any : even

Bless them which perfecute you: Blefs, and curfe not. Rom. 12.

Be pitiful, be courteous; not rendring evil for evil, or railing for railing, but contrariwife blef fing. 1 Pet. 3.9.

If thine Enemy hunger, feed him if he thirst, give him drink. Rom. 12. 20.

Say not, I will do fo to him, as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work. Prov. 24. 29.

Say not thou, I will recompenfe evil; but wait on the Lord, and he fhall fave thee. Prov. 20. 22.

That it may please thee to forgive mine Enemies Perfecutors, and Slanderers, and to turn their Hearts.

Father of Mercies, and Lover of Souls, who art kind to the unthankful and to the evil, and haft commanded us to extend our Charity even to thofe that hate us: I befeech thee to have pity upon thofe, who with out any juft caufe are my Enemies. Difappoint their Devices. Give them a due fenfe of their Pride and

elice. Shed abroad

thy Love in their Hearts. Endue them with a meek, and humble, and charitable Spirit. That there may be Joy both in Heaven and on Earth, at their Converfion, through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.
