PUBLISHER AND INTERNATIONAL BOOKSELLER

LARGEST STOCK IN EUROPE OF WORKS ON ARCHITECTURE AND ON FINE ARTS.

The present catalogue forms an exhaustive list of my stock of works on Architecture and connected branches, and I undertake to say that a stock of such extent and variety comprising the best publications of all countries and times has hardly ever been brought together; I hope to see my considerable outlay and my strenuous efforts rewarded by your appreciating this catalogue as an indispensable reference book in your profession and by favouring me with your orders, which will have my attention in every detail.

VISITORS RESPECTFULLY INVITED.

I am proud to say that in the course of this year I have been honoured by the visits of eminent European and American Librarians, who have expressed their entire satisfaction with my collecting valuable works from all parts of the globe and bringing them before them in my numerous catalogues; and also with my conscientious way of attending to their orders.

Scholars will find in my enlarged and newly fitted premises that they have at disposal collections of monographs indispensable for scientific work, monographs they would in many instances ask for in vain even in large libraries, as I may assert from my daily experience.

It will always be gratifying to me to show personally to my visitors the literary treasures I have stored here.

LIBRARIES SUPPLIED ON THE BEST TERMS,

In establishing Libraries and in filling gaps it will certainly prove advantageous to ask me for an estimate and to benefit by my experience extending over a quarter of a century.

I shall be most happy to mention best references and would lay stress on my watchfulness in supplying only absolutely complete works, a feature which will be found most appreciable with "long sets", since every book is collated twice by my competent staff before dispatch. Many librarians have expressed their satisfaction with my saving them the irritation sure to arise from imperfections.

Having sufficient means at command I am most willing to open accounts to Libraries whose budget should be exhausted for some time to come, also to accept payment by instalment: in fact to adapt myself entirely to the convenience of the Library. Correspondence should be addressed to me.

DISPATCH AND PAYMENT.

The Postal Union has fostered direct connexions, the dispatch of small works either by bookpost under wrapper or by Postal Union parcels being very cheap and convenient. Payment accepted by postal orders, cheques or in any currency.

Unlike other booksellers I do not expect cash with the order, but payment only after receipt of the books and after the buyer has satisfied himself that the book is what it has been represented.

I have much pleasure in stating that my liberally opening accounts has been the best policy.

Shipments at the cheapest rates by arrangement with fully reliable forwarding agents all over the world.

Addresses of Bookbuyers Solicited.
