Die aus dem 13. Jahrh. stammende in roman. Spitzbogen-Uebergangsstyl durchge-
führte Kapelle ist in Grundriss, Schnitt und Façade dargestellt. Der wichtigste
Theil, der dieser, nur durch lokale Verhältnisse unbekannt gebliebenen, Mono-
graphie die Achtung der Kunstkreise sichern wird, ist der Bildercyclus, componirt
von F. Storno und seinen beiden Söhnen. Die durchweg in origineller
Auffassung mit echt künstlerischer Begeisterung ohne irgend welchen Entgelt
gelieferten Gemälde beziehen sich auf folgende Darstellungen: Die Erechaffung
der Welt, Gottvater, rechts und links zwei Engel, blickt herab auf Adam und
Eva, die unter dem von der Schlange umwundenen Baum emporbeten. Das
nordwestliche Bogenfeld ist gefüllt mit der Darstellung der Werke der christ-
lichen Barmherzigkeit; das südwestliche Feld stellt die sieben Todsünden dar;
jede einzelne Figur ist abweichend vom Conventionellen und beweist in der Ur-
sprünglichkeit und Durchführung den wahren Künstler. Die Glasmalerei im
Fenster des südlichen Bogenfeldes hat als Motiv die Himmelfahrt, die Aufer-
stehung des Fleisches und die Belohnung der guten Werke. Die Malerei im
nordöstlichen Bogenfeld stellt die klugen und die thörichten Jungfrauen dar.
Die Apsis hat drei Spitzbogenfenster in Glasmalerei. Im Vordergrund am Arco-
Triumphale ist das Bildniss dis Heilandes mit zwei Posaunenengeln. Die zehnte
Tafel gibt die vorgefundenen alten Ornamente wieder.
