THE following Liturgy is, in its design and main features, the same as that which was selected from the Book of Common Prayer, by the late Rev. Theophilus Lindsey, Vicar of Catterick, in Yorkshire. That Liturgy, with various modifications, is now adopted by many Congregations of English Presbyterians. Its chief excellence consists in avoiding all disputed doctrines, and party phrases, in addressing the Supreme Being, and in admitting no sentiments, but those in which all Christians
