None here will deny us

The Memory Pious

Of glorious NASSAU, and his Queen;
C-k's Pr-te, in fpite

Of his Stars, may ftill write,
We will laugh at his Nonfenfe and Spleen.

Now a Bumper we claim

For brave MARLB'ROUGH, his Fame Far tranfcends all the Warriors of Old;

Our Efteem does engage,

And in each coming Age,

Shall amaze when his Story is told.

Like Refpect let us fhew,

TO STANHOPE, 'tis due; All the World his Integrity charms:

His Actions reveal

A True Patriot's Zeal,

And he fhines both in Arts and in Arms,

Pour the Wine out again,

Let no Man refrain,

Since 'tis SUNDERLAND's Health we demand;

He well merits Applause,

Who in Liberty's Caufe,

Will at all Times intrepidly ftand.

Then

Then NEWCASTLE, long

The Mecenas of Song,

For a TOAST we will gratefully chufe;

To all Loyal Hearts

He his Bounty imparts,
And fhall ever be prais'd by the Mufe.

Here's to all who avow

The fame Principles now
Which in dangerous Times they profest;

Such will firmly support

Our True Proteftant Court,

And the Nation with Such may be blest,

Thus each Night when we meet,

Our Mirth we'll repeat,

And the Jacobites Rage still defy;
They build their Chief Hope

On the Swede, and the Pope;

On KING GEORGE only we will rely.

To Windfor's fhady kind Retreat;
Where Silvan Scenes, wide-fpreading

Repel the raging Dog-Star's Heat.

Where tufted Grafs and moffy Beds

Afford a Rural calm Repofe;

Where Woodbines hang their dewy Head
And fragrant Sweets around difclofe,

Old ouzy Thames, that flows faft by,
Along the fmiling Valley plays;
His glaffy Surface cheats the Eye,
And thro' the flow'ry Meadows ftra

His fertile Banks, with Herbage green,
His Vales with golden Plenty fwell;
Where-e'er his purer Stream is feen,

The Gods of Health and Pleasure dwell.

Let me thy clear, thy yielding Wave,
With naked Arm once more divide;

In thee my glowing Bosome lave,
And ftem thy gentle-rolling Tide.

VI. Lay

VI.

Lay me with Damask-Rofes crown'd,
Beneath fome Ozier's dusky Shade;
Where Water-Lillies paint the Ground,
And bubbling Springs refresh the Glade.

Let chaft Clarinda too be there,
With Azure Mantle lightly dreft;
Ye Nymphs! bind up her filken Hair,
Ye Zephyrs! fan her panting Breast,

O hafte away, fair Maid! and bring
The Mufe, the kindly Friend to Love;

To thee alone the Mufe fhall fing,
And warble thro' the vocal Grove.
