· REPORT OF PUBLIC MEETING

OF THR

SOCIETY FOR THE RELIEF OF FAITHFUL GOSPEL

MINISTERS,

A

The third public meeting of the friends of this Society was held in Crosby .Row Chapel, Southwark, on Thursday, December 3, 1846. Nearly 200 of the friends first took tea together, after which the meeting commenced, when a vast concourse of persons were assembled.

Mr. BENJAMIN FLORY proposed that C. W. BANKS do take the chair, which being unanimously agreed to, he opened the meeting by reading part of the ninth chapter of the Gospel by Luke.

Mr. LUCOMBE, Minister of Providence Chapel, Featherstone Street, then addressed the throne of grace in a most spiritual, fervent, and suitable prayer, after which,

Mr. WILLIAM FENNER, the Secretary of the Society, read the following minutes, and a list of subscriptions, which together with what was afterwards contributed, amounted to upwards of £20: the full particulars of which may be seen on the wrapper of the Earthen Vessel for January, 1846.

Mr. WILLIAM FENNER, of 11, Patriot Square, Cambridge Heath, near Hackney, has kindly consented to become its Secretary, to whom communications (post paid) may be addresscd.
