THE General Association of Massachusetts assembled in Plymouth, in the meeting-house of the Rev. Robert B. Hall, on Tuesday, June 25, 1839, at 5 o'clock, P. M., and was called to order by Rev. Mr. Hall.

The Rev. John Nelson was chosen Moderator, the Rev. Daniel Crosby, Scribe, and the Rev. J. D. Condit, Assistant Scribe.

The following members presented their credentials, which were read.

The following delegates were also present from Foreign Bodies.

From the Evangelical Consociation of Rhode Island: The Rev. Joel Mann.

From the General Conference of Maine, Rev. Caleb Hobart.

From the General Association of Connecticut, Rev. Thomas Punderson, and Rev. Roswell Whitmore.

From the General Association of New Hampshire, Rev. Alvan Toby.

From the General Convention of Vermont, Rev. Elijah G. Babcock, and Rev. Chester Wright.

The rules of the Association were read, and the Session was opened with prayer by the Moderator.

Rev. Drs. Snell and Codman, and Rev. Nathan Perkins, were appointed a Committee of Arrangements.

Rev. Messrs. Fowler, Marsh, and Binsmade, were appointed a Committee on elections.

Rev. Messrs. Backus, Samuel A. Fay, and D. M. Lord, were appointed a Committee to examine the decisions of the District Associations, expressed agreeably to a vote of the last General Association, on the subject of the schedule, regulating the appointment of delegates to Foreign Bodies, and also to report in general upon the method of appointing said delegates.

Rev. Messrs. Mann and Hooker were appointed a Committee to audit the Treasurer's account.

Voted, That Messrs. Crocker and Brewster of Boston, be the Agents to print and circulate the Minutes of the Association.

Rev. Cyrus Mann, and Drs. Snell and Emerson, were appointed a Committee to consider and report upon the manner of organizing this Association at the commencement of its annual meetings.

After prayer by the Moderator the Association adjourned to meet at 8 o'clock Wednesday morning.

Wednesday morning, June 26. The Association met according to adjournment. The roll was called, and the Moderator opened the meeting with prayer.

The Committee of Arrangements reported in part.

The Rev, Thomas Snell, D. D. was chosen Secretary of the Association for the three years next ensuing.

The Rev. Drs. Snell and Codman and Rev. Cyrus Mann, were appointed a Committee to report on the place of the next meeting of the Association.
