** This volume is dedicated to Robert Earl of Essex, and the present copy has a very fine impression of the rare portrait of the Earl, by Marshall, which is usually wanting. The first part of the volume consists of a poem descriptive of the civil wars, while the latter comprises Speeches, Anagrams, Epigrams, Acrosticks, and Sonnets, among which is an Anagram and Epigram to the "famous Poet Capt.
