5 Truly, I acknowledge that JEHOVAH is great, 6 All things, which it pleaseth Him, JEHOVAH doeth, In heaven and upon earth, in the seas, yea, in all deeps. 7 HE causeth the clouds to rise from the limits of the earth; HE maketh both the lightnings and the rain; HE bringeth the winds out of His treasuries. 8 Who smote the first-born of Egypt- 9 HE sent forth signs and wonders, 10 Who smote mighty nations, 12 And gave their land as an inheritance- 13 O JEHOVAH, Thy Name continueth for ever; THY memorial, O JEHOVAH, through successive generations! 14 Truly, JEHOVAH maintaineth the cause of His people, And showeth compassion unto His servants. 15 The idols of the heathen are silver and gold— The work of men's hands! 16 They have mouths, yet they speak not; They have eyes, yet they see not; 17 They have ears, yet they hear not, Yea, there is no breath in their mouths. 19 O house of Israel, bless ye JEHOVAH! PSALM CXXXVII. 1 NEAR the rivers of Babylon, we sat and wept, When we remembered Sion! 2 Upon the willows there, 35 We had hanged our harps.
