62. Twenty-third Sunday after Trinity,

For a blessing on prayer.

O GOD, our refuge and strength, who art the author of all godliness; Be ready, we beseech thee, to hear the devout prayers of thy Church; and grant that those things which we ask faithfully, we may obtain effectually, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

63. Twenty-fourth Sunday after Trinity.

For pardon of sin.

O LORD, we beseech thee, absolve thy people from their offences; that, through thy bountiful goodness, we may all be delivered from the bands of those sins, which by our frailty we have committed. Grant this, O heavenly Father, for Jesus Christ's sake, our blessed Lord and Saviour. Amen.

64. Twenty-fifth Sunday after Trinity.

For zeal in good works.

STIR up, we beseech thee, O Lord, the wills of thy faithful people; that they plenteously bringing forth the fruits of good works, may of thee be plenteously rewarded, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.

"O Lord God of hosts, who is a strong Lord like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

"Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. "Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of thy countenance. "In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and

in thy righteousness shall they be exalted."---Ps lxxxix.

"Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people give unto the Lord glory and strength.

"O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth."---Ps. xcvi.

"Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
