Why do we call Jesus "Lord" yet ignore what He says is most important? How do I love someone even if I don't like the person? What if the person has wronged me severely? What about evil despots? What about my in-laws? What if I don't feel like loving? The Great Commandment and the New Commandment, which God considers His top priorities, contend we have no choice, says Jerry Corbaley, a pastor who has thoroughly researched God's biblical mandates about loving Him and others. God will bless or curse us in direct proportion to our faithfulness to these commandments, says Corbaley in this eye-opening new volume, The Most Excellent Way. In marriage, parenting, friendships, group dynamics, churches, and all of life's relationships, the book tells how on-purpose loving as a chosen behavior can revolutionize one's outlook, as readers joyously discover a spiritual treasure revealed in plain view in God's Word.
