Inftead of the firft Collect at Morning prayer, fhall be used this following Colle of Thanksgiving for His Majeftys Acceffion to the Throne:

Lmighty God, who ruleft over all the kingdoms of the World, and difpoteft of them according to thy good pleafure; We yield thee unfeigned thanks, for that thou waft pleased, as on this day, to place thy Servant our Sovereign Lord King GEORGE upon the Throne of thefe Realms. Let thy wifdom be his guide, and let thine arm ftrer gthen him; let juftice, truth, and holinefs, let peace and love, and all thofe virtues that adorn the Chriftian Profeffion, flourish in his days: direct all his counsels and endeavours to thy glory, and the welfare of his people; and give us grace to obey him cheerfully and willingly for confcience fake; that neither our finful paffions, nor our private interefts, may disappoint his cares for the publick good let him always poffefs the hearts of his people, that they may never be wanting in honour to his perfon, and dutiful Submiffion to his Authority: let his Reign be long and profperous, and crown him with immortality in the life to come, through Jefus Christ our Lord. Amen.

In the end of the Litany (which fall always be used apon this Day) after the Collect [We humbly befeech thee, O Father, &c.] fhall the follow ing Prayer (for the King and Royal Family) be used:

Lord our God, who upholdeft and governeft all things in heaven and earth, receive our humble prayers, with our hearty thanksgivings for our Sovereign Lord GEORGE, as on this day, fet over us by thy grace and providence to be our King; and fo together with him blefs our gracious Queen CHARLOTTE, His Royal Highness, George Prince of Wales, and all the Royal Family; that they all, ever trusting in thy goodness, protected by thy power, and crowned with thy gracious and endless favour, may continue before thee in health, peace, joy, and honour, and may live long and happy lives upon earth, and after death ob

tain everlasting life and glory in the Kingdom of Heaven, by the Merits and Mediation of Chrift Jefus our Saviour, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, liveth and reigneth ever one God, world without end

Then fhall follow this Collect for God's Protection of the King, against all

OST gracious God, who haft fet thy Servant GEORGE our King upon the Throne of His Ancestors; We most humbly befeech thee to protect him on the fame from all the dangers to which he may be exposed; hide him from the gathering together of the froward, and from the infurrection of wicked doers: Do thou weaken the hands, blaft the defigns, and defeat the enterprises of all his Enemies; that no fecret Confpiracies, nor open Violences, may difquiet his Reign; but that being fafely kept under the fhadow of thy Wing, and fupported by thy power, he may triumph over all Oppofition; that fo the world may acknowledge Thee to be his Defender and mighty Deliverer in all Dificulties and Adverfities, through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

Then the Prayer For the High Court of Parliament, if fitting.

In the Communion Service, immediately before the reading of the Epistle, insftead of the Collet for the King, and that of the Day, shall be used this Prayer for the King, as fupreme Governor of this Church.

Leffed Lord, who haft called Chriftian Princes to the Defence of thy Faith, and haft made it their Duty to promote the Spiritual Welfare, together with the Temporal Interest of their people; We acknowledge with humble and thankful hearts thy great goodnets to us, in fetting thy Servant, our most gracious King, over this Church and Nation: Give him, we beseech thee, all thofe heavenly graces that are requifite for fo high a Trust; Let the work of thee his God profper in his Hands; Let his Eyes behold the Succefs of his Designs for the Service of thy true Religion established amongst us; And make him a bleffed Inftrument of protecting and advancing thy Truth, wherever it is perfecuted and oppreffed: Let Hypocrify and Profanenefs, Superftition and Idolatry, fly before his Face; Let not Here

Early beloved, I beseech you as ftrangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lufts, which war againft the foul; having your converfation honeft amongst the Gentiles: that whereas they speak against you as evil-doers, they may by your good works, which they fhall behold, glorify God in the day of vifitation. Submit yourfelves to every ordinance of man for the Lords fake: whether it be to the King, as fupreme; or unto governors, as unto them that are fent by him, for the punishment of evil-doers, and for the praife of them that do well. For fo is the will of God, that with well-doing ye may put to filence the ignorance of foolish men: As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of malicioufnefs, but as the fervants of God. Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the King.

ND they fent out unto him their difciples, with the Herodians, faying, Mafter, we know that thou art true, and teacheft the way of God in truth, neither careft thou for any man for thou regardeft not the perfon of men. After the Prayer [For the whole State of Chrifts Church, &c.] bee Collects following shall be used:

A Prayer for Unity.

God, the Eather of our Lord Jefus Chrift, our only Saviour, the Prince of Peace; Give us grace feriouly to lay to heart the great dangers we are in by our unhappy divifions: Take away all hatred and prejudice, and whatfoever elfe may hinder us from godly Union and Concord; That as there is but one Body, and one Spirit, and one Hope of our Calling; one Lord, one Faith, one Baptifm, one God and Father of us all; fo we may henceforth be all of one Heart, and of one Soul, united in one holy Bond of Truth and Peace, of Faith and Charity; and may with one mind and one mouth glorify thee, through Jelas Christ our Lord. Amen.

RANT, O Lord, we befeech thee, that the course of this world may be fo peaceably ordered by thy Governance, that the Church may joyfully terve thee in all golly Quietnels, through Jefus Christ our Lord. Amen.

RANT, we beseech thee, Almighty God, that the words which we have heard this Day with our outward ears, may through thy grace be fo grafted inwardly in our hearts, that they may bring forth in us the fruit of good living, to the honour and praife of thy name, through Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

Lmighty God, the Fountain of all wifdom, who knoweth our neceffities before we afk, and our ignorance in alking, We befeech thee to have companion upon our

infirmities; and thofe things which for our unworthinefs we dare not, and for our blindness we cannot ask, vouchsafe to give us, for the worthiness of thy Son Jefus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

HE peace of God which paffeth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of his Son Jefus Christ our Lord: and the bleffing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghoft, be amongst you, and remain with you always. Amen.

OUR Will and Pleafure is, That this Form of Prayer with Thankf giving for the Twenty fecond Day of June, be forthwith Printed and Published, and be used yearly on the faid Day (in ftead of being used on the Eleventh of June, as had been directed by Our Royal Sign Manuel, bearing Date the Fourteenth Day of May, in the First Year of Our Reign) in all Cathedral, and Collegiate Churches and Chapels, in all Chapels of Colleges and Halls, within both Our Univerfities, and of our Colleges of Eaton and Winchester, and in all Parish Churches and Chapels within Our Kingdom of England, Dominion of Wales, and Town of Berwick upon Tweed.

Given at Our Court at Kenfington, the Eighth Day of October 1751, in the Twenty fifth Year of Our Reign.
