ADDRESS TO OUR READERS.

THE Committee, in making arrangements for the publication of the Herald for the ensuing year, have resolved on giving four additional pages monthly to this periodical. They have decided on this step from a desire to present to the friends of Israel a fuller and more extended account, than they have hitherto been enabled to give, of the operations of their agents; and of the progress of the good work under other labourers in the vineyard of the Lord. The extraordinary events which are now occurring among the nations of Europe will, it is believed, have an important bearing upon the condition and prospects of the children of Abraham. All matters of moment relating to this interesting people will be recorded, as far as the pages of the publication will admit, and by this means it is hoped greater attention may be awakened to their condition and claims.

It does not admit of a question that, were the Church of Christ more fully in possession of facts relative to the House of Israel, that apathy, which in many quarters exists, would give place to intense interest, and ardent zeal on their behalf.

To Ministers of the Gospel the Committee respectfully present an appeal for their valuable and efficient aid in this matter. The announcement from the pulpit of the existence of this publication, and of the objects for which it is established; a reference to the deeply interesting facts it from time to time communicates, and to the light which is thrown from its pages on Hebrew customs, manners, and modes of thought, would, it is believed, excite an interest on the part of
