greater prophet than John the Baptist : but he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.

29 And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified God;

பரா

ன்ஸ்நானனிலும பெரிய தீர்க்கதரிசி யொருவனுமில்லை. ஆனாலும் பரனுடைய இராசசியததிலே சிறி யவனானவன் அவனிலும் பெரியவனா யிருக்கிறான.

உகூ அன்றியும் (யோவானுடை யஉபதேசத்தைக) கேட்டசகலச னங்களும் ஆயக்காரரும் அவனாலே

31 Andthe Lord said, Whereunto then shall I liken the meu of this gene. ration?andto what are they

like?

32 They are like unto children sitting in the market place, and calling one to another, and saying, we have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we எதிர்க்கூப்பிடுகிறபிள்ளைகளுககொ have mourned to you, and ye have not wept.

ஙஉ சந்தையிலுளுக்காந்து ஒ ருவரையொருவர் நோக்கி உங்களு க்காக ஊதினோம் நீங்கள் கூத்தா டவில்லை. உங்களுக்காகப் புலம்பி னோம். நீங்கள் அழவில்லையென்று

33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He hath a devil.

34 The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold agluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners!

35 But wisdom is justified of all her children.

36 And one of the Pharisees desired him that

பபாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

ஙங எப்படியெனில யோவான் ஸ்நானன் வந்து அப்பம் புசியா மலுந் திராட்ச இரசங்குடியாமலு மிருந்தான். அதினாலே யவனபேய் கொண்டவனெனகி றீர்க கள்.

ஙச மனிதனுடையகுமாரனவந் துபோசனபானம்பண்ணுகிறான். அ தினாலே இதோ போசனப்பிரியன மதுபானப்பிரியன ஆயக்காரருக கும் பாவிகளுக்குஞ் சிநேகிதன் எ ன்கிறீர்கள்.

ஙரு ஆனாலும் நானமானது தன் னையடைந்தவர்களாலே நீதியாக்க ப்படுகின்றதென்றார்.

ஙசு பரிசேயரிலொருவனதனனு டனே போசனம் பண்ணும்படிக்கு

அவரைவேண்டிக்கொண்டான. அ he would eat with him. 38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

ஙஅ அவருடைய பாதங்களின்ரு கே பின்னாக நின்று அழுதுகொண அவருடையபாதங்களைக் கண்ணீரி னாலே நனைத்துத் தன்தலையினமயி ராலே துடைத்து அவருடையபா தங்களை முத்தஞ்செய்து பரிமளத் யிலத்தைப்பூசினாள்.

39. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him sawit, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him for she is a sinner.

40 And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on.

forgave them both. Tell me, therefore, which of them will love him most?

43 Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged.

சங சீமோன மாறுத்தரமாகச சொன்னது. அதிகமான மனனிப் பைப் பெற்றவனெவனே அவனே யென்று நினைக்கிறேனென்றான். அ பொழுது அவர் நிதானமாய்த்தீர் த்தாயெனறு சொல்லி,

சச பினபு ஸ்திரியினிடத்திலேதி woman, and said unto Si- ரும்பிச்சீமோனுடனேசொன்னது. mon, Seest thou this woman? இந்தஸ்திரியைப்பார்க்கிறாயா நான்

I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for feet : but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.

45 Thou gavest me no kiss but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

46 My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

47 Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven ; for she loved much : but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

48 And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven.

49 And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also?

50 And he said unto the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee ; go in peace.

உன டைய வீட்டில் வந்தபொழு து நீயென்கால்களுக்காகத்தண்ணீ ரைத்தரவில்லை. வள கணணீரி லேயெனகால்களை நனைத்துத்தன்த லையினமயிராலே டைத்தாள்.

வில்லை

நீ யென்னை முத்தஞ்செய்ய வள் இங்கேபிரவேசித்தது முதல் என்பாதங்களை ஓயாமல் முத் தஞ்செய்தாள்.

சசு நீ யெனதலையில் எணணெ யைப் பூசவில்லை இவள் பரிமளதயி லத்தை என்பாதங்களிற்பூசினாள்.

சஎ ஆனதால் இவளசெய்த அ நேகபாவங்கள மன்னிக்கப்பட்டப் டியினாலே மிகவும் அன்பாயிருக்கிறா ளென்று உனக்குச்சொல் லுகிறேன். அல்லாமலுங் கொஞ்சம் மனனிக்க பபெற்றவனெவனே அவன் கொஞ் சம் அன்பாயிருக்கிறானென்று சொ ல்லி,

சஅ பின்பு அவளை நோக்கி உன் பாவங்கள் மன்னிக்கப்பட்டன் வெ ன்றார்.

சகூ அப்பொழுது பந்தியிலிரு நதவர்கள் பாவங்களை மன்னிக்கிற வனயாவனென்று சொல்லிக்கொ ண்டார்கள்.

ருய அவர் (பின்னும்) ஸ்திரியை நோக்கி உன்விசுவாசம் உன்னை ரட்சித்தது. சமாதானத்தோடே போவென்றார்.

பின்பு அவர்பிரயாணமாய்ப்ப ட்டினங்கள்தோறும் ஊர்கள் தோ றுந்திரிந்து பராபரனுடைய இரா சசியத்தைச்சுவிசேஷமாய்ப்பிரச

ங்கம்பண்ணினார்.

CHAPTER VIII.

A

ND it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him? 2 And certain women,

உ பன்னிருவருமபொல்லாத ஆ விகளினின்றும் வியாதிகளினின்றுங் which had been healed of குணமாக்கப்பட்ட சிலஸ்திரிகளும் அவருடனே கூடப்போனார்கள்.

evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,

3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered

ஏழுபசாசுக்களினின்றும் நீக கப்படடமகுதலேனாளெனனபபட டமரியாளும் ஏரோதேயின் காரியக் காரனாகிய கூசாவின் மனைவியாகிய யோவனனாளுஞ்சூசன்னாளுந்தங்கள் unto him of their substance.

ஆஸ்திகளால் அவருக்கூழியஞ்செய் து கொண்டுவருகிற மற்ற அநேகஸ் திரிகளும் அவருடனேயிருந்தார்கள்

4 And when much people were gathered to gether, and were come to him out of every city, he spake by a parable:

5 A sower went out to sow his seed and as he

sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.

6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.

8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold.
