himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?

26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me, and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glo. ry, and in his Father's, and of the holy angels.

27 But I tell you of a truth there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

28 And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray.

29 And as he prayed,the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment nas white and glistering.

30 And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias.

31 Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish

ஙய அன்றியும் மோசே, எலியா இவ்விரண்டு பேரும மகிமையோ டேகாணப்பட்டு அவருடனே பேசி கூக அவர் எருசலேமிலே நிறை வேற்றும் மரணத்தைக்குறித்துச் சம்பாஷணை பண்ணிக்கொண்டார்

ஙஉ பேதுருவும் அவனோடிருந் தவர்க களுங் கனமான நித்திரைய டைந்து விழித்துக்கொண்ட பொ ழுது அவருடைய மகிமை மயையும் அவரிடத்தில் நின்ற அவ்விரண்டுபே ரையுங்கண்டார்கள்.

ஐய

நங அன்றியும் அவ்விருவரும்அ வரைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்து போகையிற் பேதுரு இயேசுவை நோக்கி, ரே, நாமிங்கேயிருக்கிறது நல்லது. நாங்கள் உமக்கும் மோசேயுக்கும் எலியாவுக்கும் ஒரொரு குடிலாக மூன்றுகுடி ல்களை யுண்டாக்குவோ மென்று தகுதியான யோசனைபண ணாமற்சொன்னான.

ஙசு அப்படியவன் சொல்லுகிற பொழுது ஒருமேகம் வந்து அவர்க ள் மேலே நிழலிட்டது. அவ்விருவரு ம்மேகததிற்குட்பிரவேசிககையிற் சீஷர் பயந்தார்கள்.

ஙரு அப்பொழுது இவர் (என க்கு) அன்பாயிருக்கி ற என்னுடை ய குமாரன். இவருக்குச் செவிகொ டுங்களென்று மேகத்தி தமுண்டாயிற்று.

ஙச அந்தச் சத்தமுணடாகுகை யில் இயேசுவானவர்மாததிரமிரு தார் பினபு அவர்கள் கண்டவைக ளில் ஒன்றையும் அக்காலத்திலே யொருவருக்கும் அறிவியாமல் மவு னமாயிருந்தார்கள்.

ஙஏ மறுநாளிலே அவர்கள் மலை யிலிருநதிறங்கினபொழுது அநேக

சனங்கள் அவருககெதிர்க்கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்.

32 But Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw his glory, and the two men

that stood with him.

33 And it came to pass as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be

here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.

34 While he thus spake, there came a cloud, and overshadowed them: and they feared, as they entered into the cloud.

35 And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, Thisis my beloved Son: hear him.

36 And when the voice was past, Jesus was found alone. And they kept it close, and told no man in thosedaysany of those things which they had seen.

37. And it came to pass, that on the next day, when they were come down from the hill, much people met him.

38 And, behold, a man of the company cried out saying, Master, I beseech thee, look upon my son : for he is mine only child.

39 And, lo, a spirit taketh him and he suddenly crieth out and it teareth

சங (அதைக்கண்ட) எல்லாகு ம் பராபரனுடைய மகத்துவத் தைக் குறித்துப் பிரமித்தா இயேசுவானவர் செய்த எல்லாவ றறையுங்குறித்து யாவரும் ஆச்ச ரியப்படுகிறபொழுது அவர் தம்மு டையஷரை நோக்கிச்சொன்னது

சசு மனிதனுடைய குமாரன் மனிதர்கைகளில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்க ப்படுவான். இந்தவசனங்களை நீங்க ள் நன்றாய்க் கேட்டுக்காத்துக்கொ ள்ளக்கடவீர்களென்றார்.

சுரு அவர்கள் அந்த வசனங்க ளின் கருத்தை யறியாமலிருந்தார். கள். அது அவர்களுக்குத் தோன றாதபடிக்கு மறைபொருளாயிருந் தது. அல்லாமலும் அவர்கள் அந் தவசனங்களைக்குறித்து அவரிடத் தில விசாரித்துக் கொள்ளுகிறதற் குப்பயப்பட்டார்கள்.

சுசு ஒருநாள் அவர்கள் தங்க ளில் எவன் பெரியவனாயிருப்பானெ

this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command ffre to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

56 For the son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village. 57 ( Anditcame to pass, that,as they went in the way, a certain man said unto him, Lord, I will follow thee whithersoever thou goest.

றார். ருஎ பின்பு வேறொரு கிராமத்தி ற்குப்போனார்கள். அவர்கள் வழி யிலேபோகையில் ஒருவன அவரை நோக்கி, ஆண்டவரே நீர்போகும் இடமெங்கேயோ அங்கே யுமக்கு பின்செல்லுவேனென்றான்.

மனி

ருஅ அவனுடனே இயேசுவான வர் சொன்னது ; நரிகளுக்குக்கு களும் ஆகாயத்துப்பறவைகளுக் க்கூடுகளுமுண்டு. குமாரன் மாத்திரந் தன் தலையை சாய்க்கிறதற்கு இடமில்லாதவனா யிருக்கிறானென்றார்.

ருகூ வேறொருவனை அவர்நோக கி, எனக்குப் பின்சென்று வாவென் றார். (அதற்கு) அவன் சொன்னது; ஆண்டவரே முன்பு நான் போய், என் தகப்பனை யடக்கம் பண்ணும் படிக்கு உத்தரவு கொடுக்கவேண்டு மென்றான்.

காய அதற்கு இயேசுவானவர் சொன்னது; மரித்தோர் தங்களிட ததில் மரித்தவர்களை யடக்கம்பண் நீ புறப்பட்டுப் பராபர னுடைய ஆளுகையைப்பிரசித்தம் ணன்றார்.
