ADMISSION-continued.

Shall be charged with the Duties hereinafter

mentioned.

But in all cafes not exprefsly exempted, the
proper Duty is to be paid on every Ad-

miffion of the fame Perfon.

ADMISSION of any Person to act as a Notary Public,

ADMISSION of any Student into the Society of
King's Inn

ADMISSION of any Perfon to be a Fellow of the
College of Phyficians or Surgeons

Note. The faid hereinbefore mentioned Duties

on Admiffions are, in all cafes not exprefsly provided for, to be charged on the Regifter, Entry or Memorandum of each Admiffion, in the Rolls, Books or Records" of the Court, College, Inn or Society in which the Admiflion fhall be made. ADMISSION of any Perfon into any Corporation, Guild or Company, in a City, Borough, Burgh or Town Corporate, in Ireland, for the Regiftry, Entry, Minute or Memorandum thereof, in the Court Book, Roll or Record of fuch Corporation, Guild or Company; Where the Admiffion fhall be in respect of Birth, Apprenticeship or Marriage

And where the fame fhall be upon any other
Ground

Only one of the foregoing Duties to be payable

in refpect of the Admiffion of any one Per-
fon into the fame Corporation.

Exemptions from the preceding and all other
Stamp Duties.

The Admiffion of any Perfon into a Corporation or
Company for the Dire&ion of any Charitable
Inftitution exclufively.

TION and PRESENTATION
AFFIDAVIT, or AFFIRMATION, made in pur-
fuance of any Law for amending or repairing Public
Roads, or made before the Truftees of any Turnpike,
relative to the Roads or Tolls of fuch Turnpike, or
made for the Purpofe of grounding thereon any Pre-
fentment of any Grand Jury, or for railing Money for
Repair of Roads, or any other Public Purpofe, or for
accounting for any Public Money, or discharging
Queries on Prefentments;

Where the Amount of the Money to be pre-
fented, raised or accounted for, fhall not
exceed zol.

Affidavits required or authorized by Law, to be
made before any Commiffioner or Commiffioners
of any Public Board of Revenue, or any of
the Officers appointed or acting under them, or
before any other Commiffioner or Commiffioners
appointed or to be appointed by Act of Parlia
ment, or by the Crown.

Affidavits or Affirmations relating to Criminal
Profecutions.

Affidavits or Affirmations for the Purpose of Re-
giftering Freeholds.

Affidavits or Affirmations to be made before any
Juftice or Juftices of Peace, or before a Ma-
giftrate of any Corporation ading as a Juftice
of the Peace, unless hereby other wife charged.
Affidavits or Affirmations to be taken before a Ma-
giftrate acting in any Court of Confcience, or
of fummary Jurifdiction, or before any Judge
of Affixe, Commiffioner of Oyer and Terminer,
or Recorder, or Affiftant Barrister, relative
to Profecutions or Trials of Indiaments, or to

Civil Bills.
Affidavits or Affirmations made in pursuance of
any A relative to the Hempen or Linen Ma-
nufactures: And Affidavits or Affirmations
as to the Payment of Corn Premiums; and
Affidavits or Affirmations made before the
Dublin Society.

Affidavits which may be required at the Bank of
Ireland to prove the Death of any Proprietor
of any Share in any of the Stocks or Funds,
to identify the Perfon of any fuch Proprietor,
or to remove any other Impediment to the
Transfer of any fuch Stocks or Funds, or in
any wife relating to the Lofs, Mutilation or De-
facement of any Bank Note or Bank Poft Bill.

SCHEDULE, PART I.

AGREEMENT, or Contract, accompanied with a De-
pofit of Title Deeds, for making a Mortgage, or other
Security on any Eftate or Property therein com-
prifed. See MORTGAGE.
AGREEMENT, or any Minute or Memorandum of
Agreement, made in Ireland under Hand only (and
not otherwife charged in this Schedule nor expressly
exempted from all Stamp Duty), where the matter
thereof fhall be of the Value of 20l. or upwards, whe-
ther the fame fhall contain an actual Contract, or be
only Evidence of a Contract, or obligatory upon the
Parties from its being a written Inftrument, together
with every Schedule, Receipt or other matter put or
indorfed thereon or annexed thereto

For every Skin or Piece of Vellum or Parchment,
or Sheet or Piece of Paper therein, after
the First
Provided always, that where divers Letters fhall
be offered in Evidence to prove any Agree-
ment between the Parties who fhall have
written fuch Letters, it fhall be fufficient if
any one of fuch Letters fhall be stamped
with a Duty of tl.

Exemptions from the preceding and all other
Stamp Duties.

Memorandum or Agreement for the Hire of any
Labourer, Artificer, Manufacturer or Menial
Servant :

Memorandum, Letter or Agreement, made for or
relating to the Sale of any Goods, Wares or
Merchandize :

Memorandum or Agreement made between the
Mafter and Mariners of any Ship or Vessel,
for Wages, on any Voyage Coastways from
Port to Port in Ireland:

Letters containing any Agreement (not before exempted) in refpect to any Merchandize, or Evidence of fuch an Agreement, which shall pafs by the Poft, between Merchants and other Perfons carrying on Trade or Commerce, in Ireland, and refiding and actually being, at the Time of fending fuch Letters, at the Dif tance of Forty Miles from each other, or between one or more Merchants in Ireland, and one or more Merchants in any other Country. ANNUITY, DEED granting any, for a pecuniary Confideration. See CONVEYANCE and BOND. ANNUITY-DEED, if voluntary or gratuitously, or upon any good or valuable Confideration, other than a pecuniary Confideration.-See SETTLEMENT.

ANNUITY; Releafe, or other Conveyance, on the Repurchase of any Annuity or Rent Charge made, on the original Grant thereof, redeemable, or fubject to be repurchased, provided the original Grant hath paid the ad valorem Duties chargeable thereon by the A&t of the 55th of His prefent Majefty, intituled " An Act to repeal the feveral Duties under the Care of the Commiffioners for managing the Stamp Duties in Ireland, and to grant new Duties in lieu thereof," or the ad valorem Duties charged by this Act, on the first Skin thereof

containing the Covenants, Articles or Agreements, for
or relating to the Service of any Apprentice, Clerk or
Servant, who fhall be put or placed to or with any
Mafter or Mistress, to learn any Profeffion, Trade or
Employment whatfoever; except Articles of Clerkship
or Apprenticeship to Attornies and others, hereinafter
Specifically charged on each Part of fuch Indentures;
If the Sum of Money, or the Value of any other
matter or thing which fhall be paid, given,
afligned or conveyed, or be fecured to be
paid, given, affigned or conveyed, to or for
the Ufe or Benefit of the Mafter or Mistress,
with or in refpect of any fuch Apprentice,
Clerk or Servant, or both the Money and
Value of fuch other matter fhall exceed the
Sum of 10l. and fhall not exceed 3ol.

Where fuch Sum or Value fhall exceed 30l. and
fhall not exceed 50l.

Where fuch Sum or Value fhall exceed zool, and

fhall not exceed 3ool.

Where fuch Sum or Value fhall exceed 300l. and
shall not exceed 400l.

Where fuch Sum or Value shall exceed 400l. and
fhall not exceed 500l.

Where fuch Sum or Value shall exceed 500l. and
fhall not exceed 600l.

And where fuch Sum or Value fhall exceed the
Sum of 6col. for every 100l. of fuch Excefs,
a Duty of
Indenture or other Inftrument, containing the
Covenants, Articles or Agreements for or
relating to the Service of any fuch Appren-
tice, Clerk or Servant, as aforefaid, who shall
be put or placed to or with a new Master or
Miftrefs, either by Affignment or Turnover,
or upon the Death, Abfence or Incapacity
of the former Master or Mistress, or other-
wife;

Where there fhall be any fuch valuable Confider-
ation as aforefaid, moving to the faid new
Mafter or Miftrefs, exclufive of any Part of
the Confideration to the former Mafter or
Miftrefs, which may be returned, or given,
or transferred to the new Mafter or Mistress
And where there fhall be no fuch new Confider.

Exemptions from the preceding Stamp Duties.
Indentures or other Inftruments where no Appren.
tice Fee fhall be given, or if any be given,
where fuch Apprentice Fee fhall not exceed the
Sum of 10l.
And all Affignments of fuch Apprentices fo as be-
fore excepted; provided there fhall be no fuch
valuable Confideration as aforefaid given to
the new Mafler or Miftrefs, other than what
may have been, or fhall be, given by any Public
Charity.

ARTICLES OF APPRENTICESHIP, Indenture or
other Inftrument, whereby any Perfon fhall firft be-
come bound to ferve as an Apprentice or Clerk to any
Attorney or Solicitor in order to his Admiffion as an
Attorney or Solicitor, in any of His Majefty's Courts
in Ireland, on each Part of fuch Articles or Contract
ARTICLES of APPRENTICESHIP, Indenture or

other Inftrument, whereby any Perfon fhall become bound to ferve as an Apprentice, in order to any fuch
