for they are my fervants, which I ught forth out of the land of Egypt: Say thall not be fold as bond-men.

44 Both thy bond-men, and thy bondad, which thou thalt have, fhall be of heathen that are round about you; of fall ye buy bond-men and bond

If there be yet many years behind, acaning unto them he than give again the mas of his redemption out of the money the was bought for.

$4 And if he be not redeemed in thefe years, then he thall go out in the year of jubi lee, both he, and his children with him.

CHAP. XXVI. 1 Of idolatry. 3 Ableffing promised. 14 A curfe threatened. fhall make you no idols nor graven

Ymage, neither rear you up a ftanding inage, neither thall ye fet up any image of flone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

2 Ye shall keep my fabbaths, and reverence my fanctuary: I am the LORD.

3 If ye walk in my flatutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

4 Then I will give you rain in due feafori, and the land fhall yield her increase, and the trees of the field fhall yield their fruit.

5 And your threshing fhall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage thall reach unto the fowing-time: and ye thall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land fafely.

6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye fhall lie down, and none thall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beatts out of the land, neither fhail the fword go through your land.

7 And ye shall chafe your enemies, and they fhall fall before you by the fword.

8 And five of you shall chafe an hundred, and an hundred of you thall put ten thou fand to flight: and your enemies fhall fall before you by the fword.

For I will have refpect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and citablish my covenant with you.

10 And ye thall eat old ftore, and bring forth the old becaufe of the new.

11 And I will fet my tabernacle among you: and my foul fhall not abhor you.

12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye thall be my people.

13 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye fhould not be their bond-men; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright.

14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all thefe commandments;

15 And if ye thall defpife my ftatutes, or if your foul abhor my judgments, fo that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant;

16 I alfo will do this unto you, I will even appoint over you terror, confumption, and the burning ague, that thall confume the eyes, and caufe forrow of heart: and ye shall fow your feed in vain; for your enemies shall eat it.

17 And I will fet my face against you, and ye shall be flain before your enemfes: they that hate you fhall reign over you, and ye thall flee when rone purfneth you.

18 And if ye will not yet for all this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your fins.

19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as irou, and your earth as brass.

21 And it ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring feven times more plagues upon you, according to your fins.

22 I will alfo fend wild beats among you which shall rob you of your children, and deftroy your cattle, and make you few in number, and your high-ways fhall be defolate. 23 And if ye will not be reformed by me by thefe things, but will walk contrary unto me; 24 Then will I alfo walk contrary unto you, and will punish you yet feven times for your sins.

25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that fhall avenge the quarrel of my covenant: and when ye are gathered together within your cities, I will fend the peftilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.

26 And when I have broken the flaff of your bread, ten wornen thall bake your bread in one oven, and they fhall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye fhall eat, and not be fatisfied.

27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary to me;

28 Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury: and 1, even I, will chattife you feven times for your fins.

29 And ye thall eat the flesh of your fons, and the fleth of your daughters fhall ye eat.

30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and call your carcases upon the carcafes of your idols and my foul thall abhor you.

40 If they fhail confefs their iniquity, a the iniquity of their fathers, with their tr pafs which they trefpaffed against me, a that alfo they have walked contraryunton

41 And that I alfo have walked contrar unto them, and have brought them into t land of their enem es; if then their unc cumcifed hearts be humbled, and they the accept of the punishment of their iniquity

42 Then will I remember my covenant wh Jacob, and alfo my covenant with Ifaac, a alfo my covenant with Abraham will member; and I will remember the land.

CHAP. XXVII.

35 As long as it lieth defolate it fhall rett; because it did not reft in your fabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.

36 And upon them that are left alive of you I will fend a faintnefs into their hearts, in the lands of their enemies, and the found of a thaken leaf thall chafe them; and they fhall fee, as fleeing from afword; and they fhall fall when nonc purfueth.

37 And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a fword, when none purfu eth: and ye thall have no power to fland before your enemies.

38 And ye thall perish among the heathen, and the land of your enemies fhall eat you

up.

39 And they that are left of you fhall pine away in their iniquity in your enemieslands and alfo in the iniquities of their fathers thall they pine away with them.

Speak unto the children of Ifrae and fay unto them, When a man thall mak a fingular vow, the perfons fhall be for LORD by thy eftimation.

3 And thy ettimation fhall be, of the mal from twenty years old even unto fixty ye old, even thy eftimation thall he fifty kels of filver, after the thekel of the lan tuary.

4 And if it be a female, then thy effing tion thall be thirty fhekels.

5 And if it be from five years old even us twenty years old, then thy eftimation fhall of the male twenty thekels, and for the male ten thekels.

6 And if it be from a month old, even unt five yearsold, then thy eftimation thall be the male five thekels of filver, and for t female thy eftimation fhall be three thekels e filver.

7 And if it be from fixty years old an above, if it be a male, then thy estimatio fhall be fifteen hekels, and for the female te hekels.

8 But if he be poorer than thy eftirmatie® then he fall present himself before t priett, and the prieft shall value him; accen ing to his ability that vowed, shall the pro value him.

9 And if it be a heat, whereof men brå an offering unto the LORD, all that arm giveth of fuch unto the LORD fhall be hel 10 He thall not alter it, nor change in good for a bad, or a bad for a good"; atti

And time fanctify unto the LORD a held which he hath bought, which is not of the fields of his poffesion;

23 Then the pricft fhall reckon unto him the worth of thy eftimation, even unto the year of the jubilee: and he thall give thine ettimation in that day, as a holy thing unto the LORD.

24 In the year of the jubilee the field thall return unto him of whom it was bought, even to him to whom the polletion of the land did belong.

25 And all thy eftimations fhall be according to the thekel of the fanctuary: twenty gerahs thall be the thekel.

26 Only the firttling of the beafts, which fhould be the LORDS firttling, no man thall fanctify it: whether it be ox or theep, it is the LORDS.

27 And if it be of an unclean beaft, then he fhall redeem it according to thine eftimation, and fhall add a fifth part of it thereto or if it be not redeemed, then it thall be fold according to thy eltimation.

28 Notwithstanding, no devoted thing that a man thall devote unto the LORD, of all that he hath, both of man and beaft, and of the field of his poffeffion, thall be fold or redeemed every devoted thing is molt holy unto the LORD.

29 None devoted, which thall be devoted of men, thall be redeemed; but shall furely be put to death.

30 And all the tithe of the land, whether of the feed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORDS: it is holy unto the LORD.

31 And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.

32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever palleth under the rod, the tenth thall be holy unto the LORD.

33 He thall not fearch whether it be good or bad, neither thall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it thall not be redeemed.

34 Thefe are the commandments which the LORD commanded Mofes, for the children of Ifrael, in mount Sinai.

18 And they affembled all the congregation together, on the first day of the fecond month; and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.

19 As the LORD commanded Mofes, fo he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

20 And the children of Reuben, Ifraels eldeft fon, by their generations, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, aecording to the number of the names, by their polls, every male from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go ferth to war;

21 Thofe that were numbered of them, en of the tribe of Reuben, were forty and fix thousand and five hundred.

23 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.

24 Of the children of Gad, by their generations, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;"

26 Of the children of Judah, by their generations, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

28 Of the children of Iffachar, by their generations, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old, and upward, all that were able to go forth to war; 29 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ifachar, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

30 Of the children of Zebulun, by their generations, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to

31 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty and feven thousand and four hundred.

32 Of the children of Jofeph, namely, of the children of Ephraim, by their generations, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

33 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thoufand and five hundred.

34 Of the children of Manaffeh, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

35 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Manalleh, were thirty and two thoufand and two hundred.

36 Of the children of Benjamin, by their generations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

37 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

38 Of the children of Dan, by their ge nerations, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war;

39 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Dan, zoere threefcon and two thoufand and feven hundred.

40 Of the children of Ather, by their ge nerations, after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and up ward, all that were able to go forth to war;

41 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Ather, quere forty and one thouland and five hundred.

42 Of the children of Naphtali, throughout their generations, after their families, by the houfe of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth ta war;

43 Thofe that were numbered of them, even of the tribe of Naphtali, were hity and three thousand and four hundred.

44 Thefe are thofe that were numbered, which Mofes and Aaron numbered, and the princes of lfrael, being twelve men: each one was for the houfe of his fathers.

45 So were all thofe that were numbered of the children of Ifrael, by the houfe of their fathers, from twenty years old and upward, all that were able to go forth to war in Ifrael;

46 Even all they that were numbered, were fix hundred thousand, and three thoulard, and five hundred and fifty.

47 But the Levites, after the tribe of their fathers, were not numbered among them, 48 For the LORD had spoken unto Mofes, faying,

49 Only thou shalt not number the tribe of Levi, neither take the fum of them among the children of Ifrael;

50 But thou fhalt appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of teftimony, and over all the vellels thereof, and over all things tipt belong to it; they thall bear the tabernacl and all the veffels thereof, and they thall tak nitter tinto it, and shall encamp round abo the tabernacle.

51 And when the tabernacle fetteth fet ward, the Levites thall take it down an when the tabernacle is to be pirched, th Levites fhall fet it up: and the tranger tha cometh nigh fhall be put to death.

$2 And the children of Ifrael fhall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own ffandard, throughout eir holts.

53 But the Levites fhall pitch round about the tabernacle of tettimony, that there be nawrath upon the congregation of the children of Ifrael: and the Levites thall keep the charge of the tabernacle of tettimony. 54 And the children of Ifrael did according to all that the LORD commanded Mofes, To did they. CHAP. II.

The order of the tribes in their tents.

Nd the LORD fpake unto Mofes and unto

Every man of the children of Ifrael fhall ich by his own ftandard, with the enfign of their fathers houfe: far off about the ta bernacle of the congregation fhall they pitch.

And on the catt ide, toward the rifing of the fun, fhall they of the ttandard of the ap of Judah pitch, throughout their arm; and Nahthon, the fon of Amminadab, all be captain of the children of Judah.

4 And his hoft, and thole that were numred of them, were threefcore and fourteen thomland and fix hundred.

And thofe that do pitch next unto him hall be the tribe of flachar: and Nethaneel, the fan of Zuar, shall be captain of the chiln of Ifachar.

And his loft, and thofe that were numSered thereof, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.

Thes the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab, the fan of Helon, fhall be captain of the chil

tren of Zebulan.

And his hot, and thofe that were numbered thereof, were fifty and feven thoufand and four hundred.

All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were an hundred thoufand, and four late thoufand, and fix thoufand and four hundred, throughout their armies: thefe

Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp fo thall they fet forward, every man in his place, by their ftandards.

18On the weft fide shall be the ftandard of the camp of Ephraim, according to their armies: and the captain of the fons of Ephraim hall be Elhamna, the fon of Ammihud.

19 And his hoft, and thofe that were numbered of them, were forty thousand and five hundred.

20 And by him shall be the tribe of Manaffeh: and the captain of the children of Manafiel fhall be Gamaliel, the fon of Pedahzur.

21 And his hoft, and thofe that were num bered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.

22 Then the tribe of Benjamin: and the captain of the fons of Benjamin shall be Abidan, the fon of Gideoni.

23 And his holt, and thofe that were numbered of them, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.

24 All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were an hundred thousand, and eight thousand and an hundred, throughout their armies: and they fhall go forward in the third rank.

25 The ftandard of the camp of Dan fhall be on the north fide by their armies: and the captain of the children of Dan fhall be Ahiezer, the son of Ammifhaddai.

26 And his hoft, and thofe that were numbered of them, were threefcore and two thousand and feven hundred.

27 And thofe that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Afher and the captain of the children of Ather shall be Pagiel, the fon of Ocran.

28 And his hoft, and thofe that were numbered of them, quere forty and one thoufand and five hundred.

29 Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the children of Naphtali fhall be Ahira, the fon of Enan.

30 And his hott, and thofe that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.

31 All they that were numbered in the camp of Dan were an hundred thousand, and fifty and feven thousand, and fix hundred: they fhall go hindmoft with their ftandards.

32Thefe are those which were numbered of the children of Ifrael, by the house of their fathers: all thofe that were numbered of the camps, throughout their hotts, were fix hundred thoufand, and three thousand, and five hundred and fifty.

33 But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Ifrael: as the LORD commanded Mofes.

34 And the children of Ifrael did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so they pitched by their ftandards, and fo they fet forward, every one after their families, according to the houfe of their fathers. CHAP. III.
