2 And there are the names of the fons of Aaron; Nadab the firit-born, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

3 Thefe are the names of the fons of Aa ron, the priests which were anointed, whom he confecrated to minifter in the prietts office. 4 And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered ftrange fire before the LORD, in the wildernefs of Sinal, and they had no children: and Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priests office in the sight of Aaron their father.

5 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

6 Bring the tribe of Levi near, and prefent them before Aaron the priest, that they may minifter unto him.

7 And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation, before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the fervice of the tabernacle.

8 And they thall keep all the inftruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, and the charge of the children of lirael, to do the fervice of the tabernacle.

9 And thou shalt give the Levites unto Aaron, and to his fons: they are wholly given unto him out of the children of Ifrael."

10 And thou shalt appoint Aaron and his fons, and they fhall wait on their priests office: and the ftranger that cometh nigh fhall be put to death.

11 And the LORD spake unto Moses, faying,

12 And I, behold I, have taken the Levites from among the children of Ifrael, inftead of all the firft-born that openeth the matrix among the children of Ifrael; therefore the Levites thall be mine.

13 Becaufe all the firft-born are mine; for, on the day that 1 fmote all the firft-born in the land of Egypt, I hallowed unto me all the first-born in Ifrael, both man and beaft; mine they thall be: I am the LORD.

14 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes in the wilderness of Sinai, faying,

15 Number the children of Levi, after the houfe of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them.

16 And Mofes numbered them, according to the word of the LORD, as he was commanded.

17 And thefe were the fons of Levi, by their names; Gerfhon, and Kohath, and Merari.

18 And thefe are the names of the fons of Gerthon, by their families; Libni, and

Sh'mei.

19 And the fons of Kohath, by their families; Amram, and Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. 20 And the fons of Merari, by their families; Mahll, and Muthi: thefe are the families of the Levites, according to the house of their fathers.

21 Of Gerthon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimites: thefe are the families of the Gerthonitess

22 Thofe that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even thefe that were numbered of them, were seven foufand and five hundred.

23 The families of the Gershonites thail pitch behind the tabernacle wettward.

24 And the chief of the houfe of the father of the Gerthonites fhall be Eliafaph, the fon of Lael.

25 And the charge of the fans of Gerihan, in the tabernacle of the congregation, fail be the tabernacle, and the tent, the covering thereof, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

26 And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it, for all the fervice thereof,

27 And of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the 12harites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: thefe art the families of the Kohathites.

28 In the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were eight thou fand and fix hundred, keeping the charge of the fanctuary.

29 The families of the sons of Kohath fhall pitch on the fide of the tabernacle fouthward. 30 And the chief of the houfe of the father of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan, the fon of Uzziel.

31 And their charge fhall be the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars and the veffels of the fanctuary wherewith they minifter, and the hangings, and all the fervice thereof.

32 And Eleazar, the fon of Aaron the prieft, fhall be chief over the chief of the Le vites, and have the overfight of them that keep the charge of the fanctuary.

33 Of Merari was the family of the Mallites, and the family of the Mushites: thefe are the families of Merari.

34 And thofe that were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were fix thousand and two hundred."

35 And the chief of the houfe of the father of the families of Merari zas Zuriel, the fon of Abihail: thefe fhall pitch on the fide of the tabernacle northward.

36 And under the custody and charge of the fons of Merari fhall be the borders of the ta bernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the foekets thereof, and all the veffels thereof, and all that ferveth thereto,

37 And the pillars of the court round about, and their fockets, and their pins, and their cords.

38 But thofe that encamp before the ta bernacle toward the east, even before the ta bernacle of the congregation eastward, all be Mofes, and Aaron and his fons, keeping the charge of the fanctuary, for the charge of the children of Ifrael: and the stranger that cometh nigh thall be put to death.

39 All that were numbered of the Le vites, which Mofes and Aaron numbered at the commandment of the LORD, throughout their families, all the males, from a month old and upward, were twenty and two tho fand.

40 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, Num ber all the firft-born of the males of the children of Ifrael, from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names.

IV.

9 And they thall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlekick of the light, and his lamps, and his tongs, and his fnuff-difbes, and all the oil-vefels thereof, wherewith they ini nilter unto it.

10. And they thall put it, and all the veffels thereof, within a covering of badgers fkins, and shall put it upon a bar.

11 And upon the golden altar they fhall fpread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of badgers ikins, and thall put to the ftaves thereof.

12 And they fhall take all the inftruments of miniftry, wherewith they minilter in the fanétuary, and put them in a cloth of blue, and cover them with a covering of badgers fkins, and fhall put them on a bar.

13 And they hall take away the athes from the altar, and fpread a purple clath thereon:

14 And they thall put upon it all the veffels thereof, wherewith they minifter about it. even the cenfers, the fefb-hooks, and the thovels, and the bafons, all the veffels of the altar; and they shall fpread upon it a covering of badgers ikins, and put to the ftaves of it.

15 And when Aaron and his fous have made an end of covering the fanctuary, and all the veffels of the fanctuary, as the camp is to let forward; after that, the fons of Kohath thall come to bear it: but they fhall not touch ang holy thing, leit they die. Thefe things are the burden of the fons of Kohath in the ta bernacle of the congregation.

16 And to the office of Eleazar, the fon of Aaron the priest, pertaineth the oil for the light, and the fweet incenfe, and the daily meat-offering, and the anointing oil, and the overfight of all the tabernacle, and of all that. therein is, in the fanctuary, and in the vellels thereof.

17 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes and unto Aaron, faying,

18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kolathites from among the Levites: 19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the molt holy things; Aaron and his fons thall go in, and appoint them every one to his fervice, and to his burden.

20 But they fhall not go in to fee when the holy things are covered, left they die.

21 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

22 Take alfo the fum of the fons of Gerfhon, throughout the houfes of their fathers, by their families:

23 From thirty years old, and upward, until fifty years old, thalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the fervice, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.

24 This is the fervice of the families of the Gerihonites, to ferve, and for burdens.

25 And they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tabernacle of the congregation, his covering, and the covering of the badgers fkins that above upon it, and the hanging for the door of the tabernacle of the congregation,

26 And the hangings of the court, and the hanging for the door of the gate of the court,

which is by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and their cords, and all the inAtruments of their fervice, and all that is made for them: fo fhall they ferve.

27 At the appointment of Aaron and his fons fhall be all the fervice of the fons of the Gerthonites, in all their burdens, and in all their fervice: and ye fhall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.

28 This is the fervice of the families of the fons of Gerthon, in the tabernacle of the congregation: and their charge fhall be under the hand of Ithamar, the fon of Aaron the prieft.

29 As for the fons of Merari, thou shalt number them after their families, by the houfe of their fathers:

30 From thirty years old and upward, even unto fifty years eld, fhalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the fervice, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.

31 And this is the charge of their burden, according to all the fervice in the tabernacle of the congregation; the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and fockets thereof.

32 And the pillars of the court round about, and their fockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their inftruments, and with all their fervice: and by name ye shall reckon the initruments of the charge of their burden. 33 This is the fervice of the families of the Sons of Merari, according to all their fervice in the tabernacle of the congregation, under the hand of Ithamar, the fon of Aaron the priest. 34 And Mofes and Aaron, and the chief of the congregation, numbered the fons of the Kohathites, after their families, and after the houfe of their fathers;

35 From thirty years old and upward, even anto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the fervice, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.

36 And thofe that were numbered of them, by their families, were two thousand feven hundred and fifty.

37 Thefe were they that were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all that might do fervice in the tabernacle of the congregation, which Mofes and Aaron did number, according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Mofes.

38 And thofe that were numbered of the Fons of Gerthon, throughout their families, and by the houfe of their fathers;

39 From thirty years old and upward, even unto fifty years old, every one that entereth into the fervice, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation

40 Even thofe that were numbered of them, throughout their families, by the houfe of their fathers, were two thoufand and fix hundred and thirty.

41 Thefe are they that were numbered of the families of the fons of Gerthon, of a that might do fervice in the tabernacle of the congregation, whom Mofes and Aaron did number, according to the commandment of

the LORD.

42 And thofe that were numbered of the families of the fons of Merari, throughout their families, by the houfe of their fathers;

unto fifty years old, every one that entereth 43 From thirty years old and upward, even into the fervice, for the work in the tabernacle of the congregation;

them, after their families, were three thou44 Even thofe that were numbered of fand and two hundred.

45 Thefe be thofe that were numbered of fes and Aaron numbered, according to the the families of the fons of Merari, whom Moword of the LORD by the hand of Moles.

Nd the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,

2 Command the children of track,
that they put out of the camp every lepet,
and every one that hath an issue, and whose-
ever is defiled by the dead:

3 Both male and female fhall ye put out, without the camp fhall ye put them, that they defile not their camps, in the midt whereof I dwell.

4 And the children of Ifrael did fo, and put them out without the camp: as the LORD fpake unto Mofes, fo did the children of Ifrael.

7 Then they shall confers their fin which they have done: and he thall recompenfe his trefpafs with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give # unto him against whom he hath trefpaffed.

8 But if the man have no kinfman to re

compenfe the trefpafs unto, let the trefpas be recompenfed unto the Long, even to the prieft, befides the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.

9 And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Ifrael, which they bring unto the priest, thall be his.

10 And every mans hallowed things fhall be his whatfoever any man giveth the priest, it fhall be his.

11 And the LORD spake unto Mofes, faying,

12 Speak unto the children of Ifrael, and fay unto them, If any mans wife go atide and commit a trefpafs against him,

13 And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hid from the eyes of her husband, ani

19 And the priclt thall charge her by an ath, and fay unto the woman, If no man elain with thee, and if thou haft not ne aide to uncleannefs with another instead of thy husband, be thou free from this bitter

w that caufeth the curfe:

20 But if thou hast gone atide to another intead of thy fufband, and if thou be defiled, and fome man have lain with thee betides thine butband;

Then the prieft thall charge the woman ith an oath of curfing; and the priest hall ay unto the woman, The LORD make thee a care and an oath among thy people, when the LORD coth make thy thigh to rot, and y belly to fwell:

And this water that cauleth the curfe a go into thy bowels, to make thy belly well, and the thigh to rot. And the woman thall (ay, Amen, amen.

53 And the priest thall write thefe curfes in book, and he thall blot them out with the Diter water;

14 And he thall caufe the woman to drink the bitter water that caufeth the curfe: and the water that caufeth the curfe thail enter to her, and become bitter.

15 Then the prieft inall take the jealoufyciering out of the womans hand, and thall wave the offering before the LORD, and offer #apon the altar.

And the pricft fhall take an handful of offering, even the memorial thercof, and upon the altar, and afterward thall came the woman to drink the water. 47 And when he hath made lier to drink the water, then it thall come to país, that if be defiled, and have done trefpafs against be hufband, that the water that caufeth the tail enter into her, and become bitter, and bar belly thail fwell, and her thigh thall and the woman thall be a curfe among people.

And if the woman be not defiled, but dean; then the thall be free, and thall contive sped.

V. VI.

29 This is the law of jealoufies, when a wife goeth atide to another instead of her hufhand, and is defiled;

30 Or when the fpirit of jealoufy cometh upon him, and he be jealous over his wife, and thall fet the woman before the LORD, and the priest fhall execute upon her all this

law.

31 Then fhall the man be guiltlefs from ini-

Nd the LORD fpake unto Mofes, faying,
2 Speak unto the children of lirael,

and fay unto them, When either man or wo-
man thall feparate themfelves to vow a vow
of a Nazarite, to feparate themselves unto the
LORD;

3 He fhall feparate himfelf from wine, and
ftrong drink, and thall drink no vinegar of
wine, or vinegar of ftrong drink, neither shall
he drink any liquor of grapes, nor cat moilt
grapes, or dried.

4 All the days of his feparation shall he eat nothing that is made of the vine-tree, from the kernels even to the hulk.

5 All the days of the vow of his feparation there fhall no razor come upon his head; until the days be fulfilled, in the which he feparateth himfelf unto the LORD, he shall be holy, and thall let the locks of the hair of his

head grow.

6 All the days that he feparateth himfelf unto the LORD he thall come at no dead body.

7 He ball not make himfelf unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother, or for his fifter, when they die; because the confecration of his God is upon his head.

8 All the days of his feparation he is holy unto the LORD.

9 And if any man die very fuddenly by him, and he hath defiled the head of his confecration; then he thall have his head in thall he thave it. the day of his cleanfing, on the feventh day

10 And on the eighth day he shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons, to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

1 And the priett fhall offer the one for a fin-offering, and the other for a burnt-offering, and make an atonement for him, for that he finned by the dead, and fhall hallow his head that fame day.

12 And he fhall confecrate unto the LORD the days of his fepatation, and thall bring a lamb of the firft year for a trefpafs-offering: but the days that were before thall be loit, becaufe his feparation was defiled.

13 And this is the law of the Nazarite: When the days of his feparation are fulfilled, he thall be brought unto the door of the t bernacle of the congregation;

14 And he fhall offer his offering unto the LORD, one he-lab of the firit year without blemith for a burnt-offering, and one ewe fin-offering, and one ram without blemish for lamb of the first year without blemish for a peace-offerings,

15 And a basket of unleavened bread cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, and

waters of unleavened bread anointed with oil, and their meat-offering, and their drink-offerings.

16 And the prett hall bring them before the LORD, and thall offer his tin-offering, and his burnt-offering.

17 And he thall offer the ram for a factifice of peace-offerings unto the LORD, with the basket of unleavened bread: the priett thall offer alfo his meat-offering, and his drink-offering.

18 And the Nazarite fhall have the head of his feparation at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation; and fhall take the hair of the head of his feparation, and put it in the fire which is under the facrifice of the peace-offerings.

19 And the priest fhall take the fodden fhoulder of the ram, and one unleavened gake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and thall put them upon the hands of the Nazarite, after the hair of lis feparation is fhaven:

20 And the pricft fhall wave them for a wave-offering before the LORD; this is holy for the priest, with the wave-breaft and heaveshoulder: and after that the Nazarite may drink wine.

21 This is the law of the Nazarite who hath vowed, and of his offering unto the LORD for his feparation, betides that that his hand fhall get: according to the vow which he vowed, fo he mutt do after the law of his feparation.

22 And the Lono fpake unto Mofes, faying,

23 Speak unto Aaron, and unto his fons, faying, On this wife ye thall blefs the children of Ifrael, faying unto them,

24 The LoR blefs thee, and keep thee; 25 The LORD make his face thine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee;

26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

27 And they fhall put my name upon the children of Hrael, and I will blefs them. CHAP. VII.

3, 10 The princes offerings. 89 God speaketh to Mofes from the mercy-feat.

A Yes had ally fet up the tabernacle, and fes had fully fet up the tabernacle, and had anointed it, and fanctified it, and all the instruments thereof, both the altar, and all she vellels thereof, and had anointed them, and fanétined them,

2 That the princes of Ifrael, heads of the houfe of their fathers, (who were the princes of the tribes, and were over them that were numbered,) offered.

3 And they brought their offering before the LORD, fix covered waggons, and twelve oxen; a waggon for two of the princes, and for each one an ox: and they brought them before the tabernacle.

4 And the LORD fpake unto Mofes, fay ing.

Take it of them, that they may be to do the fervice of the tabernacle of the congregation; and thou thalt give them unto the Levites, to every man according to his

Jervice.

6 And Mofes took the waggons and the er, and gave them unto the Levites.

7 Two waggons and four oxen he gave unto the fons of Gerthon, according to their fervice.

8 And four waggons and eight oxen he gave unto the fons of Merari, according unto their fervice, under the hand of Ithamar, the fon of Aaron the priest.

9 But unto the fons of Kohath he gave none; becaufe the fervice of the fanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their thoulders.

10 And the princes offered for dedicating of the altar, in the day that it was anointed, even the princes offered their offering before the altar.

11 And the LORD faid unto Mofes, They fhall offer their offering, each prince on his day, for the dedicating of the altar.

12 And he that offered his offering the first day was Nahihon, the fon of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.

13 And his offering teas one filver charger, the weight whereof was an hundred and thirty hekels, one filver bowl of feventy thekels, after the fhekel of the fanctuary, both of them were full of fine flour mingled with oil, for a meat-offering:

14 One fpoon of ten fhekels of gold, full of incenfe:"

15 One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the fird year, for a burnt-offering:

16 One kid of the goats for a fin-offering: 17 And for a facrifice of peace-offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs of the first year. This was the offering of Nahfhon, the fon of Amminadab.

18On the fecond day Nethaneel, the fon of Zuar, prince of Iffachár, did offer.

19 He offered for his offering one filver charger, the weight whereof reas an hundred and thirty fhekels. one filver bowl of feventy thekels, after the thekel of the fanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil, for a meat-offering

20 One fpoon of gold of ten fhekels, full of

incenfe:

21 One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt-offering:

22 One kid of the goats for a fin-offering: 23 And for a facrifice of peace-offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lamb of the first year. This war the offering of Nethaneel, the fon of Zuar.

24 On the third day Eliab, the fon ef Helon, prince of the children of Zebulun, did offer.

25 His offering was one filver charger, the weight whereof was an hundred and thirty fhekels, one filver bowl of seventy hekely after the fhekel of the fanctuary, both of them full of fine flour mingled with oil, for a meat-offering.

26 One golden fpoon of ten shekels, full of incense:

27 One young bullock, one ram, one lamb of the first year, for a burnt-offering:

28 One kid of the goats for a fin-offering: 29 And for a facrifice of peace-offerings, two oxen, five rams, five he-goats, five lambs of the first year. This was the offering of Eliab, the fon of Helon.

30 On the fourth day Elizur, the fon of Shedeur, prince of the children of Reuben, did offer.
