PRAYERS.

AT WAKING IN THE MORNING.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. (50 days Indulgence.)

I have slept and have taken my rest; and I have risen up because the Lord hath protected me. Ps. III. 6.

O my God, I most humbly thank Thee for having preserved me this night past from sudden and unprovided death; and I make Thee the offering of this day, which Thou has granted to me, that I may labour therein for Thy honour and glory, and for the salvation of my own soul.

The Angelus see pp. 6 and 44.

BEFORE LEAVING THE BEDROOM.
The Lord's Prayer.

Pater noster, qui es in

cœlis, sanctificétur nomen tuum; advéniat regnum tuum; fiat volúntas tua, sicut in cœlo, et in terra. Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hódie: et dimitte nobis débita nostra, sicut et nos dimittimus debitóribus nostris: et ne nos indúcas in tentatiónem: sed libera nos a malo. Amen.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Eni, Sancte Spíritus, reple tuórum corda fidélium, et tui amoris in eis ignem accénde.

V. Emitte Spíritum tuum
et creabúntur.
R. Et renovábis fáciem
terræ.

Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.

Send forth Thy Spirit, and they shall be created. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
