NOTICE TO THE NINTH PART.

THERE is little to say on the present occasion which has not. in some shape, been said before, excepting that I am within sight of the goal I have long been anxious to reach, and am heartily glad of it.

Where almost every article has been revised or rewritten, it is difficult to point out particular examples, but, in conformity with my previous notices, I venture, almost at hazard, to call attention to the following:

SKELTON, John; SMITH, Adam, Horace, Capt. John, and Sydney; SMOLLETT; SNELLING; SONGS; SOPHOCLES; SOUTHEY ; SOWERBY; SPENSER; STATE PAPERS; STATUTES; STEELE; STEWART (the Walking); STERNE; STRUTT; STRYPE; STUKELEY; SURREY, Earl of; SWAINSON; SWEDENBORG ; SWEET; SWIFT; TACITUS; TASSO; TAYLOR, Isaac, Jeremy, and Thomas the Water Poet; TERENCE; TESTAMENT, the New; THOMSON, James; THORPE, Benjamin; THUCYDIDES; TODD, H. J.; TOOKE, J. Horne; TUCKER, Dean; TRUSSLER; TURNER, J. M. W.; TYTLER; USSHER, Abp.

The largest part of my attention has been devoted to unravelling the intricacies of the early editions of the English New Testament. In this I have been especially assisted by Mr. Henry Stevens of London, Mr. Francis Fry of Bristol, and

NOTICE TO THE NINTH PART.

Mr. George Offor of Hackney; gentlemen who are very conversant with the bibliography of the Scriptures, and have shewn great readiness in communicating the results of their investigations.

I am scarcely less indebted to the acting Librarians of the British Museum and other public Libraries, who have throughout entertained my inquiries with great good will.
