During the month of April there were received at the Library, by purchase, 1,781 volumes and 229 pamphlets; by gift, 2,967 volumes and 10,644 pamphlets; and by exchange, 26 volumes and 138 pamphlets. There were catalogued 4,715 volumes and 3,215 pamphlets, for which were written 11,716 cards, in addition to which 2,917 slips were written for, and 13,704 cards received from, the copying machine.
