The author's own narrative is of his Voyage for the discovery of a Northwest Passage made in 1631 in the pinnace, the Charles, of seventy tons burden, manned by twenty men and two boys, with provisions for eighteen months. He passed through Hudson's Strait, and followed the whole western coast of Hudson's Bay, but made no new discoveries.
