The candidates for planting all kinds of trees are to certify, that the re-. fpe&tive plantations are properly fenced and fecured, and harticularly to hate the condition the plants were in at the time of figning fuck certificates.

Any information which the candidates for the foregoing premiums may chufe to communicate, relative to the methods made ufe of in forming the plantations, or promoting the growth of the several trees, or any other obfervations that may have occurred on the Jubje, will be thankfully received.

93. TURNEPS. For experiments made on fix acres, to determine the comparative advantages of the drill or broadcaft method in the cultivation of turneps; the gold medal, or filver medal and ten guineas.

94. VEGETABLE FOOD. For the beft account of vegetable food, that will moft increase the milk in mares, cows, and ewes, in March and April; the gold medal, or filver medal and ten guineas. Certificates to be produced on the feonday in November, 1800.

CULTIVATING ROOTS AND VEDAG BOR FEEDING SHEEP AND LACK CATTLE. For experiments

made on acres of land, between Michaelmas 799, and May, 1800, to afcertain which of the following plants can be fecured for winter fodder to the greateft advantage, viz.

Turnep-rooted cabbage, carrots, turnep-cabbage, parfneps, turneps, potatoes.

100. ASCERTAINING THE COMPONENT PARTS OF ARABLE LAND. For the most fatisfactory experiments, to afcertain the due proportion of the feveral component parts of arable land, by an accurate analysis of it; the gold medal, or fifty guineas.

103. IMPROVING LAND LYING WASTE. For a method of improving 50 acres of foils lying wafte or uncultivated; the gold medal, or filver medal and twenty guineas.

205. WICKS FOR CANDLES OR LAMPS. For difcovering a method of manufacturing hop-ftalks, or other cheap material, the growth of Great Britain, to fupply the place of cotton for wicks of candles or lamps; twenty guineas.

207. PAPER FROM RAW VEGETABLES. For ten reams of useful paper from raw vegetable fubftances; twenty guineas.

209. OIL FROM PORPOISES. For manufacturing the greatest quantity of oil from porpoifes taken on the coaft of Great Britain in the year 1800, not lefs than thirty tons; thirty pounds.
