138. God's Favour. 2 Sam. xv. 25. David said if I have found Favour in the Eyes of the Lord, he will bring me again, and fhew me both the Ark and his Habitation.
Job x. 12. Thou haft granted me Life and Favour, and thy Vifitation hath preferved my Spirit.

139. God's Favour denied to the Wicked. Ifa. xxvii. 11. It is a People of no Understanding, therefore he that made them will not have Mercy on them, and he that formed them will fhew them no Favour. See Jer. 16. 13.
140.God giveth or with-holdeth the Favour of Men. Gen. xxxix. 21. The Lord was with Jofeph and fhewed him Mercy, and gave him Favour in the Sight of the Keeper of the Prifon. Acts 7. 10.

144. God blefeth his People. Exod. xx. 24. In all Places where I record my Name, I will come unto thee and I will blefs thee.

145. Perfons pronounced blessed, their Graces and Duties. Pf. i. 1. Bleffed is the Man that walketh not in the Counsel of the ungodly.
ii. 12. Bleffed are all they that put their Truft in him. (Chrift.) v. 12. Thou Lord will bless the Righteous, with Favour wilt thou compass him as with a Shield.
xxiv. 4. He that hath clean Hands and a pure Heart, &c. Ver. 5. He fhall receive the Bleffing from the Lord.
xxxii. 1. Blessed is he whofe Tranfgreffion is forgiven, whofe Sin is covered. Rom. 4. 7.

Ver. 7. The Memory of the Juft is bleffed.
xi. 26. Bleffings fhall be upon the Head of him that felleth Corn, that is, on him who is good to the Poor.

Ver. 11. Bleffed are ye when Men fhall revile you and perfecute you, and fhall fay all Manner of Evil against you falfly for my Sake. Luke 6. 22.
xi. 26. Jefus faid, bleffed is he who foever shall not be offended in me. Luke 7. 23.
xxiv. 45. 46. Bleffed is that faithful and wife Servant, whom his Lord when he cometh fhall find, giving his Houfhold their Meat in due Seafon. Luke 12. 43.

146. God's Bleing promifed by Way of Covenant, or Covenant Bleffings. Deut. vii. 9. He keepeth Covenant and Mercy with them that love him and keep his Commandments, to a thousand Generations. Dan. 9. 4
2 Sam. xxiii. 5. David faid, altho' my House be not fo with God, yet hath he made with me an everlasting Covenant, ordered in all Things and fure.
Pf. xxv. 14. The Secret of the Lord is with them that fear him, and he will fhew them his Covenant.
lxxxix. 3. I have made a Covenant with my Chofen.
Ver. 28. My Covenant shall stand faft with him.
Ver. 34. My Covenant will I not break.

Jer. xxxi. 33. This fhall be the Covenant that I will make with the House of Ifrael, faith the Lord, I will put my Law in their inward Parts and write it in their Hearts, and will be their God, and they hall be my People. Heb. 8. 10.
xxxii. 40. I will make an everlasting Covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them to do them Good, but I will put my Fear in their Hearts, that they fhall not depart from me. Ver. 38.
xxxiii. 20. Thus faith the Lord, if you can break my Covenant of the Day, and my Covenant of the Night, and that there fhould not be Day and Night in their Season.
Ver. 21. Then inay alfo my Covenant be broken with David Servant, that he should not have a Son to reign upon his Throne, and with the Levites the Priefts my Minifters. Ver. 25, 26,
1. 5. They shall fay, come, and let us join ourselves to the Lord, in a perpetual Covenant that shall not be forgotten.
Ezek. xi. 19. I will give them one Heart, and I will put a new Spirit within you, and I will take the ftony Heart out of your Flesh, and will give them an Heart of Flesh. Jer. 24. 7.
Ver. 20. That they may walk in my Statutes and keep mine Ordinances and do them, and they fhall be my People, and I will be their God.
xvi. 8. When I paffed by thee and looked upon thee, behold thy Time was a Time of Love, and I fpread my Skirt over thee and covered thy Nakedness, yea, I sware unto thee and entered into a Covenant with thee, faith the Lord God, and thou becamest mine.
Ver. 60. I will remember my Covenant with thee in the Days of thy Youth, and I will establish unto thee, an everlafting Covenant. Ver. 62. I will establish my Covenant with thee, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
