In this volume Warren Wiersbe has collected twelve sermons, each dealing in some way with the apostle Peter. Generally speaking the sermons date from the mid 19th century to the early 20th century. Their age does not lessen their vibrancy or relevance today. Two are from Spurgeon, and they are excellent. There are also two sermons each from G. Campbell Morgan and Alexander Maclaren, two outstanding preachers whom I had not previously read but will certainly seek to read more of their work as an aid to my own preaching. I highly commend this work, not only for its exploration of Peter, but as an example of rich and faithful exposition of the biblical text. ( )
