Pàgina vii - If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering: for he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind, and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
Pàgina vii - My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Sobre l'autor (2006)

While she was writing Sera's Stand, the author answered a longstanding call to become a licensed minister. Minister Marcia J. Bowman preached her trial sermon and received her License in Ministry on May 15, 2005 at historical First Bryan Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia. Minister Bowman's call to discipleship as a writer began when she was baptized at age nine, and with her first poem, Jesus Was Born" written when she was eleven-years-old. She started her professional career as a writer as the first female African American news reporter at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in 1974. After 30 years as a journalist, publicist, technical writer and project manager she has developed an appreciation for the necessity to prioritize her life and work in order to meet deadlines, accomplish goals and live a Victorious Christian life. While God and her family sits as the highest priorities in her life, she is committed to a life of service. She began volunteering in the school system and community service organizations over 40 years ago and which continues. Her calling is to use her gifts to write and to speak about victorious African American women and men who end up as heroic, positive role models with a higher sense of moral standards for adults and youth needed to face today's challenges and to meet God's eternal requirements.
